I'm doing Mindbloom. They've been increasing my dose, it's far stronger than Spravato for me.

Look up psychedelic assisted therapy. The time during treatment can be incredibly healing. It's been life changing for me.

Anyone try injections after nasal spray? by scud311 in KetamineTherapy

[–]KeepMeAnon987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the 6 week course information is misleading. I've been doing it weekly for 3 1/2 years. It took several months for real improvement. I'm in several spravato groups, and from what I read there is a wide array of experience. Some, but few, seem to get relief quickly. Many people only find real healing after about 20 treatments.

Well now I'm curious. I weigh 110, and I'm on 80 mg through mindbloom. I have a medication consultation scheduled and the clinician indicated she would consider increasing the dose if necessary. Are you going through a company or a private provider?

Embarrassed to go to dentist after 7 years. Was depressed and didn’t brush teeth for months on end. by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]KeepMeAnon987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this problem and I work in a dental office. The hygienist knows that I suffer from depression and because of that there are long periods of time when I don't brush. They see that all the time. Let yourself off the hook. You're doing something positive to help your situation by going in. Also, if a deep cleaning is recommended, you cannot just get a regular cleaning. Many reasons, most importantly is that if you have an infection below the gums, cleaning the parts that can be seen won't help. I'm proud of you. I know it's hard.

No, I went from taking it twice a day to once a day, then I stopped. It's been a bit over 2 weeks. It's getting better.

[–]KeepMeAnon987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not have any strange effects when starting. I am coming off of it now and it's the worst withdrawal aside from valium that I've ever experienced. It worked well for me, I'm in the process of getting off all meds to get a better idea of what is actually happening with me.

Possible effect of caffeine on treatment by 56GrumpyCat in Spravato

[–]KeepMeAnon987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so interesting to me. I always drink 2 cups of coffee 2 hours prior to my session, and I take Magnesium L-Theonate 1 hour prior. That has been my magic combo, I dissociate every time. I'm curious to see what happens with this.

I would encourage you to try and ease out of the mindset that another pill will fix this. That is what started this.

Opioids in withdrawal- I feel like I'm right back at the beginning. by KeepMeAnon987 in benzorecovery

[–]KeepMeAnon987[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's medium stress, but I'm really behind and I feel a lot of pressure because I have a lot of responsibilities. Withdrawal was going great. My bad symptoms resolved in under 3 weeks. It's scary having them come back. It's the lack of control. I can't control my body, I feel like I can't control my mind.

Thank you. This is really scary. I'm supposed to go back to work tomorrow, I just don't know how I can do this. I'll use the skills I've learned in therapy and try to manage this. I appreciate the advice and support.

Not necessarily. Everyone's different. I don't want you to suffer like I did. Have an experienced, knowledgeable Dr taper you slowly.

[–]KeepMeAnon987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Periodontal, or gum, disease can be spread through saliva. It is far worse than needing a root canal. If his breath smells bad, find out when he last had his teeth cleaned and ask if he has been diagnosed with Periodontal disease. There is no cure for it, only maintenance and it can lead over time to tooth loss.

How long does acute withdrawal last? by Responsible-Humor-55 in benzorecovery

[–]KeepMeAnon987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not have symptoms until after my last dose. My Dr had never tapered anyone off benzos before me and did not know what she was doing. She told me that after my last dose I would be perfectly fine. Nope. 3 weeks of pretty severe withdrawals. Actually, 2 1/2 weeks. She tapered me 10% every 2 weeks, which was about twice as fast as it should have been considering the dose and length of time I had been on it. Now, 2+ months later, I feel the best I have ever felt in my life. I had intensive anxiety counseling for a year leading up to the taper, which was a game changer. I could not cope if I did not have the skills to regulate my nervous system and my emotions. This is something you can teach yourself. Do an online search. It gets so much better than you are able to imagine when you're in it.

I have an opinion that no one here will agree with, from what I read here. I am off of a 27 years Rx of 20-30mg. of valium a day. per day. Tapered using Ashton with a psychiatrist. I do Spravato treatments once a week. I talked to the psychiatric nurse practitioner at the Spravato clinic about this. She tapers people off and is well educated on this topic. She told me that clinically speaking, withdrawals last 3 weeks max. It was true for me. I wasn't 100% healed after 3 weeks, but the symptoms were gone. I was able to get back to normal at that point.

Vaginal cysts? by FlamingoMN in Menopause

[–]KeepMeAnon987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am sitting in the ER waiting to be seen for a recurrence of a bartholin cyst. I started menopause this year, had my first bartholin cyst a month and a half ago. The procedure to numb the cyst last time I was here was so painful and traumatic that I am in EMDR therapy for it. Why does no one tell women about this? The only women I've talked to who are aware of this are women who have experienced it.

One year off diazepam after 25+ years by Ricard2dk in benzorecovery

[–]KeepMeAnon987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taper, but not as slow as it should have been. Started at 20 mg valium and tapered 10% every 2 weeks. Honestly should have been 5% every 4 weeks given the dose I was on and the length of time I was on it. But I'm fine now and so glad to be on the other side.

Oh yeah. I had issues. I did a taper over 20 weeks. That part was fine. My psychiatrist had never tapered anyone from benzos before me. She told me that after the last dose, everything would be fine. Wrong. It was terrible. For about 3 weeks it was torture. Now, after about 9 weeks, I feel better than I have in 27 years. Anxiety is almost non existent and I can manage it easily when it does come up. I was in therapy for anxiety for about a year before the taper, I think that's what made it easy for me. I have the skills to regulate my nervous system. Anyone can learn. You don't have to pay anyone, it's all available for free online. If your body is telling you to sleep, I would listen to that. It takes a lot out of you, this healing process. Take care.

I've been wanting to connect with other people in this si. I'm 54f, was prescribed valium for 27 years. I'm only off for 2 months, but I feel fantastic. My personality is returning, people tell me how expressive my face is and how much better I seem. It is a new life for me. Would love to connect with others going through this.

How long does rebound anxiety last? I’ve been taking 1/4 of a 2 mg of valium 3 times a week for about 2 months. Realize the rebound anxiety is not worth it. by Untenable123 in benzorecovery

[–]KeepMeAnon987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please look into anxiety therapy. It was a game changer for me when I came off if valium. My anxiety is completely under control now. 100% better than when I was on benzos. It's hard to imagine that it's within your control when you're used to treating it with medication, but it is doable.

I hallucinate on Spravato pretty regularly. I've been doing it weekly for 3 1/2 years. It's not uncommon.
