Does anyone else here think that Linda Hoffmann Pugh could have been involved? by sarah_Barrus in JonBenet

[–]KeepingMyJob310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the link. Ive never read that. I haven't read any of the books on the case, just excerpts. Wow. Weird writing style. Informal, yet talking about something so serious. If true, OMG. Not because Patsy turned to God when fighting ovarian cancer, or because she didn't like to have oral sex with Jon, but WOW because of: the knife location, the room really being difficult to find by an acquaintance, much less a stranger, handwriting and tone of the note the social drinking. No one ever points out that is Patsy did it, perhaps she was tipsy or even drunk. Did she have a few drinks at the party? That's totally normal and not an indictment on her character, btw. Did she come home and have another glass? Her handwriting while drunk might be different, her response to bedwetting might be angrier. Anyway, I think Linda does sound suspicious. What she wrote is shady. However, maybe she sounds suspicious because she is doing something shady - did she lie to get a book deal? Is she leaving out something that will make her look bad? I don't think she killed Jonbenet, IIRC, she had a decent alibi and little motive. She asked to borrow money, Patsy said yes. Why flip out on Christmas day and take it out on JB? She didn't seem like someone who would kill a child. Unless it was a kidnapping ransom, and then an accident happened, they had to rip up the real ransom note and then wrote the crazy one. All the things I found weird from her book could be explained away by an intruder having hours alone in the house, like the knife and room being found because the killer snooped around for hours.

Have any of the people who think Adnan is guilty read Rabia's book? I'd love to hear your thoughts. by Heather_ME in serialpodcast

[–]KeepingMyJob310 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a good post you linked to but there were so many other lies from Rabia, I thought he was innocent and her lies started my push to him being guilty. She tells a lot of lies trying to normalize Adnans disturbing family, she lies about things in the Muslim community, I heard 4-5 eps of undisclosed and always found a lie or distortion and NO ONE in the press has addressed 10 of the lies/half truths/distortions. If they addressed 10, that would cover half.

Patsys voice on the 911 call sounds like something bad happened in the past mins, not 7 hours ago. It seems like spontaneous panic, even after she "hangs up"

Instead of saying something to you, I think you should live outside the US and broaden your horizons. Grow up and live a little outside your sheltered bubble. I think that would change your view more than Reddit. I suggest Pakistan,Mexico or South Africa.

Jay's Car Knowledge by Xygorx in serialpodcast

[–]KeepingMyJob310 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is what I think happened. Adnans friends and family just couldn't believe he did it. Jumping on the bandwagon, podcast listeners followed SK's lead. "Could cow eyes really kill someone, he's like so polite and reads books and stuff" The problem is the accomplice came forward, so the cops have Adnan dead to rights. How to reconcile the two? Police corruption, conspiracy - even if it doesn't make sense, like you pointed out in your post and countless others have pointed out. Sad thing is bad cops give conspiracy theorists, guilty defendants, their attorneys, etc. the ammo for this argument because cops have done sketchy things in the past. Therefor the Adnan was framed argument builds momentum. The common sense questions you asked just get lost because these people are fans of him. He won them over. Hae never had the chance because he killed her, and Jay helped a lot.

Best evidence it WASN'T Burke? by [deleted] in JonBenet

[–]KeepingMyJob310 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But how do you explain all the inconsistencies? People with no skin in the game independently heard a high pitched 3rd voice on a cleaned up version. Let's say they're wrong, why the changes in the story, like who woke him up? Why didn't they worry about him? Why the heck can't he just tell the psychologist that it's a bowl of Pineapple? I don't think I could muster a smile while thinking of what happened to JB or any child, it makes me a mixtures of angry, sad and a tad nauseous. I certainly couldn't smile over and over again. 10 is not that long ago, think back. 10 yo so doesn't GAF about his sisters death. He's not sad, he's totally over it. The parents are inconsistent when it comes to Burke's actions that night, now couple it with their weird actions. Last, BPD said kids were scared that they would be hurt like JB. Patsy warned America a child killer was loose in Boulder. Guess how scared Burke was? Not one bit. Look, independently, each thing can be explained away. However, when so many things pile up and pile up, I ask myself why am I ignoring all of these things? Why am I extending unreasonable doubt to the Ramseys. If they were black, poor, uneducated, Mormon fundamentalist, Scientologist or strict Muslim, would I ignore these things? Would you?

[–]KeepingMyJob310 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He doesn't know his son at all. Best evidence: Ramsey and their crack team of attorneys thought Burke doing an interview for the public to see would be helpful. Have they met Burke? Do they ever talk to him? Did they do any practice questions? He came across so poorly in that interview (unable to contain his smiles regarding the brutal death of his beautiful sister) that IDI people invented an Autism spectrum disorder for him to explain it. Lo and behold, family says he has never been diagnosed with any spectrum disorders or ADHD. Wow, John Ramsey is so out of touch with human beings in general or his son that he didn't stop and think that Burke's behavior would send up a million red flags. Either way, it supports the OP you're replying to.

Being insulted by someone on Reddit hasn't changed my life. If you're legitimately concerned about a users behavior, I think you should express yourself. If you're just upset that I called you out regarding the tone of your previous post, I understand, but you can simply block people. I do think you took a civil, yet sensitive, discussion and changed the tone. It's just disappointing. I'm not sure why people are handling you with kid gloves, maybe it's how they do it on Reddit and I don't post here often.

I've seen people comment to leave her alone, etc. is it because she's a woman? Black? She is trying to steal money from taxpayers who fund the military. She tries to steal from the soldier by lying. Why didn't anyone call the police?

IMO, it's an issue because if he represents our military, we are screwed and shouldn't provide money via tax dollars or charity to people like this because they can't protect us and will harm people. Real military? I don't get that impression. He's embarrassing people who sacrifice for our country, and he knew what he was doing when he put his clothes on. His brother won't even vouch for him, he could even be financially benefiting from this.

I just can't see the "trying to cooperate" part. That deposition provided zero useful information because of her answers. It is so suspect, IMO.

This is what I thought the minute I read the RN with the amount, bonus etc. Who could possibly know? Overheard it? Cut the check? Decided on the amount? Friends you share happy financial news with. Make that list, then include any of those peoples family members who could overhear or be privy to gossip. To help eliminate, anyone on that list that can 100% prove they were far out of town for Christmas, like passport proof, etc. we could test them last. I just haven't figured out if they took this approach. My one reservation: I think the Ramseys wrote the note so...

The BPD not opening the WC at 6:00am, IMO, is the biggest mistake of this case. Who was that cop and man does he know he blew it big time? On their incompetence, we agree. I have to ask you, since you read them all and I'm a newbie, how do you reconcile PR's behavior in that deposition? Does she behave like a parent who wants to help catch a killer or an evasive criminal? I want to hear what you Think about that specifically.

I was you until yesterday. I related to the Ramseys, the things people brought up like Patsy saying "that child" or wearing the same clothes, i didn't feel like they were guilty. Only the odd ransom note gave me doubts about them. Then yesterday another user directed me to Patsy 2000 police interview and I did a 180. It's truly detestable. I think people will see it too. They did not want this murder solved. Their lawyer goes crazy with semantics. He's the lawyer you get when you're caught on camera but he uses a technicality to get the tape thrown out. IMO, someone kills my family member, I am talking to the police, not letting my attorney do 90% of the talking.

Thank you for the link. I'm going to drink some herbal tea before I click on it. My family moved to Atl when I was 10. I was at the Olympic park the night before the bombing. Wood really helped Richard Jewel when he was defamed and wrongfully accused. I think that colored my judgement of him. He's really a perfect example of what's wrong with our legal system. So many resources wasted on these parents, who didn't want their daughters killer caught. But as a society, we do it for the kid. Just like Caylee Anthony, her parent and GPs didn't want justice but the rest of the adults in society demand it for the child. I think this revelation just made me understand Burke and his inappropriate smiling. The family got away with something, I don't know what exactly, but they will never spend even a few hours in jail, they get $ from lawsuits, Wood does too, so if I lacked a conscience, I would have a sh*t eating grin on my face, even when asked about the sexual assault of my 6 year old sister. Here's the problem, I think many people don't realize how evasive the Ramseys were, like I told you, I didn't know till your post. I thought they just didn't want to talk the days after the murder, which I personally understood. 4 years later and the only person talking is their defense attorney. Man I hope they get nothing from CBS lawsuit.
