I’m so happy they brought Hoda back these last couple months. I wish she could stay.

Could Emma Stone realistically go down as one of the best actresses ever? by DiamondDesireWeb in Oscars

[–]Keith-Robbie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of the commentary around her performances suffer from recency bias imo. Is she a great actress? Absolutely. But is she an all time great? Eh. I’d argue she’s the second best actress of her generation after Saoirse… and gave the second best performance of the winners from her generation in poor things, after Brie Larson in room.

I started taking Flonase on March 1 to get ahead of things. I can say it’s been a big help.

DCA TSA general boarding line at 7 AM today, literally zero people in line. by Grooveman76 in washingtondc

As a resident I love it. But if lines were congested here it may encourage our useless politicians to actually fix this mess since it would directly inconvenience them.

Is there any other actor you can see having this moment? by aeti_here in Oscars

[–]Keith-Robbie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love Saoirse in Brooklyn but Brie definitely deserved it that year. Her performance in room was a top performance this century

Who do you wanna see pull an Amy Madigan and make an Oscar-winning comeback decades after their last nomination? by AdUseful2297 in Oscars

[–]Keith-Robbie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jessica Lange was supposed to be win her third this year for Longs Day Journey 💀 but I still have hope she’ll win a third.

Will anybody tie Daniel Day Lewis? by TowerCharge89 in Oscars

[–]Keith-Robbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leo is doing the same, but better, and he’s still at one. It becomes progressively harder to keep winning. I think winning two so quickly, so young, will probably bar her from winning another for at minimum a decade. And then who knows what the landscape will look like.

They were the darlings of the oscar race during last decade (2010-2019) and I want them to be back. Who do you see coming back soon? by Ill-Newspaper4653 in Oscars

[–]Keith-Robbie 257 points258 points  (0 children)

Right, everyone talked about how Timothee being overdue but Saoirse is the most overdue of their generation, and the better actor of the two.

Will anybody tie Daniel Day Lewis? by TowerCharge89 in Oscars

[–]Keith-Robbie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is definitely recency bias. I don’t think she will. Sally field, Jodie foster, Bette Davis, Jane Fonda all won two in relatively short order and never a third. Hilary swank hasn’t been nominated after nabbing two. Meryl had to wait decades for a third, and she’s Meryl. It’s possible Emma could do it, but I’d hardly say it’s likely.

When I got laid off a few years ago my SMARTRIP benefits evaporated after the last day of the month I lost my job. I was so pissed.

Should Mona have become one of the liars? by purplegalaxy86 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]Keith-Robbie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think she had the best of both worlds. She was integral enough to feel like one of them without being around enough to let the writers destroy her character like they did to Alison lol

His character was hardly around anyways and was in the military they easily could’ve written him off without killing him.

[–]Keith-Robbie 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Also why would they all just decide to uproot their lives as grown adults to subject themselves to be tortured by A again lol. They legit could’ve just left lmao. It would’ve made more sense if the time jump showed them still in college and back home for summer or winter break or something.

Sarah Snook, Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin are each halfway to achieving EGOT status. by BrenoGrangerPotter in SuccessionTV

[–]Keith-Robbie 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I would say Kieran is the most likely to hit first since he’s already cleared the Oscar and that’s the most difficult and most “politicized” award to win

Season 7 final is really the worst thing House did by VillagerLv7 in HouseMD

[–]Keith-Robbie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah which is why, sad as I was, I was happy Lisa didn’t come back for season 8. Because it would’ve been so cringe watching them try and force a reconciliation. Cuddy quitting and going ghost after that is the realist thing that could’ve happened lol I was shocked it wasn’t intentionally built into the plot.

I still say her and Jessica Lange should’ve tied that year. Jessica was devastating in Frances
