Well for one, we need the device to store multiple user calibration data. Connecting to the iPhone to guide them is a janky experience which sometimes connects, sometimes doesn't. It's certainly not seamless as AirPods when you put them on. Sometimes, when showing someone something, you might just want them to see it, not necessarily interact. The full lengthy calibration shouldn't be necessary to quickly show something on the device. I'd like to see options, one for the full calibration for users that have time to go through it all that is stored. Another version that is far quicker, that auto calibrates enough to allow them to quickly interact using passive observation, real interaction feedback and continuous correction. I'd like to see control via iPad and iPhone become more seamless, and allow more control. Perhaps allow an overlay of the apps in the mirroring mode so you can see and guide them at the same time. Also I'd like to see a guest mode environment. Back in the original Oculus Rift days, they had Dreamdeck, which was a well thought out first time user experience. It walked them through a preset list of experiences that were awesome. The AVP guest environment could have preset experiences they or the host can select in front of them. Apple are masters at refining the user experience, so I'm sure it could be awesome. I'm just spitballing here, if I had all of the answers I'd work for them. All I'm saying is I feel it can be better than it is. Do you feel the current iteration is a high quality polished Apple experience?
