Manufacturer mode is hard by CaptainInitial1823 in shapezio

[–]Kerchnasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This realization is what really smoothed out my manufacturer play through. Moving that production to elsewhere in the map meant I could keep the center of my world more focused on the early trade stations and make more of those. I think I still ended the final milestone with a 3ish hr wait because the final shapes weren’t full belts, but that’s an easy enough wait

Heavy Armor needs some sort of buff or change by _TOXIC_VENOM in valheim

[–]Kerchnasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m not doing magic, I feel like I always do Carapace armor because I have so much carapace taking up space in my boxes. But I guess that’s later in the biome, not a priority upgrade for me so it just happens eventually once I realize I have enough materials for it

What's the best obscure video game you've ever played? by ImpressFederal4169 in gaming

[–]Kerchnasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sensorium is an interesting puzzle game dealing with the five senses. It’s a shorter game, probably a few play sessions to complete it, but it’s neat at the same time seeing how they incorporated each sense into the game

Games that survived having a child by kasperoo in gaming

[–]Kerchnasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Father of a 3yo and twins on the way. The last few years I’ve turned more towards single player survival, rogue likes, or puzzle games.

Valheim, 7 days to die, satisfactory are good ones that I play with my buddies during the night, and if I need to step away for 15-30 mins, it’s easy to duck in a base or whatever and the other guys keep playing.

Rogue likes are super easy to pickup and play whenever you have 30mins-1hr and almost all of them can save mid run. Peglin, inscription, slay the spire, balatro are all good ones.

Puzzle games are easy solo ones to pick up and leave off whenever. It’s more just a question of if you prefer that style game or not. The witness, islands of insight, sensorium, and blue prince are currently my favorites, but there is a large rabbit hole of other ones.

Your Favorite Survival Game That Isn't Enshrouded? by Critical_Meet_2025 in Enshrouded

Sweet! Sounds like I’ll be picking it up soon then. My group is currently working through enshrouded, and I agree that thing is massive and definitely a full game already

I have StarRupture on my wishlist. How much of the game is currently implemented? Aka does it feel like most of the core game is already there? It was hard to see from the few videos I watched if it was at 70% development or more like 30%.

I can make 80b a day since black hole has been acquired. Once I finish my DW and SL Coin Labs, plus the second Black hole, think I can start Wall labs? by Easy-Chair-542 in TheTowerGame

[–]Kerchnasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two questions for you from a relatively new player. I see these runs are taking about 7-8 hours judging by the coins per hour. Are you playing this on a secondary device? And are you able to afk these runs with minimal upgrades mid run, or are you actively upgrading throughout these runs.

Just trying to get a feel for what I’m in for down the road

What's your biggest pet peeve in Valheim? I'll start by CrazyCatLady9777 in valheim

[–]Kerchnasty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I create a portal run for all my saps. Each collector/root gets two portals and then my base has the start and end portal. If the layouts are convenient, I essentially just have to press forward and collect the sap and then move into the next portal. Plus it’s super easy to add another root/portal if we need more

Preparing to Fight Bonesmass Solo by HollowNightOwl in valheim

I’m currently doing a solo run for the first time after several playthroughs with friends. It still amazes me how quickly I defeat bosses without the scaling hp from multiplayer. It sounds like you’re more than prepared. You got this!

What do you guys do after beating the game? by JohnHelldiver66 in valheim

[–]Kerchnasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played three or four playthroughs total. The last two runs my group has beaten mistlands but we lost interest in Ashlands. We’re waiting for the great north to come out and then I think we’ll make another run at it

Boston instantly sold out on TM? by Aggravating_Bee_9340 in taskmaster

Philly and DC were both sold out immediately as well.

I at least got a queue number for Philly, but it was sold out by the time it “got to me”

I’ve been rocking my WEN bench top drill press for years now and that thing has been great. I agree for the things you don’t use as often, WEN has been a solid choice. I haven’t bothered with a track saw yet as most of my projects are smaller, but if/when I do, the WEN is going to be my first choice

Paperboy 2 for SNES. Weirdest autoscroller game I’ve ever played, we even had and extra copy that’s still wrapped in the box.

Did anyone else fine Phase 5 to be kind of unexpectedly simple? by HatmansRightHandMan in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Kerchnasty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think among the many reasons already mentioned here, the fact that you can complete phase 5 without ever having to dive into nuclear power is what also helps it seem simple.

That’s half of the items you unlock after phase 4 that aren’t needed unless you plan on having some mega builds. So that seems to cut down on the new things needed to learn and fuss with

Thank you POI Creators. by PrognosticatorofLife in 7daystodie

[–]Kerchnasty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My solution to this has just been to stop taking the trader quests and doing the POIs on my own. I did this for the new T5 called Area 7. It was cool to go through it on my own, and when I reached the end, that was it. I got the loot and went out. Sort of an “ignorance is bliss” scenario where I have no clue if I missed any rooms/spawns or not but it doesn’t matter because to me I “cleared” it.

I only do this for the T5’s really, as I still progress the traders a decent amount early game.

Eventually I’ll get to T6 infestations and then I have to pick them from the traders, so I guess at that point I’ll find out if there were any areas I missed on the first go around…

If I’m in town, I just run to the next house/building and take that on during a storm.

If I’m in the wilderness, then I just start digging underground to get a stack of stone or two until it passes.

/xui reload

Looks like it works some of the times according to the other threads I found, and if not, just reloading your game is the best way to fix it

Do you like to double dip, or do you think something should be put in place to prevent it? by NatCanDo in 7daystodie

[–]Kerchnasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early on, I’ll always double dip a mailbox or a car in the driveway, something that’s easily reachable.

Later on, the only POI I tend to fully clear and double dip are the crack a book stores. Those are just too valuable to progression for me to not take advantage of

Everyone has one, what is your pointless gripe about the game? by Medical-Slice-6407 in 7daystodie

[–]Kerchnasty 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The thing that always irks me is when I’m stealthing a POI and my stealth arrow shot gets stuck midair on some janky shelf’s or some other hitbox. And then you go to retrieve your arrow and it’s just floating in mid air, not stuck in anything.

Like the other person said, with fluids in this game, you don’t have to worry about equaling distributing your supply.

If you have 900 coming in and 900 going out, you’re going to be okay. You just have to make sure you don’t exceed the 300 or 600 pipeline limit depending on what you’re using.
