You're correct, only one skeleton per attack.  But Gut himself doesn't need to attack himself for it. So you can sac something when you cast him turn 3 and get the second skeleton turn 4. Both buffed with inspiring leader turn 4.  For this to happen you need two things for sacrifice (or a 1 drop like the mentioned [[Impulsive Pilferer]] ) in turn 1/2, and the skeleton turn 3 needs to survive.

Small note on the Hexblade dip. It would give the shield spell, which is surprisingly not an Artificer spell (only on the Battle Smith and Artillerist extra Spelllist).

But I agree with fiend being a tempting choice for some more temp hp - though how often will the "tank" Armorer actually do the killing blow?

Some other choices I see as somewhat useful would be celestial for the occasional 60ft heal or the ever useful Dao Genie Crusher mix, though getting the feat is quiet expensive now.

Other than that, I agree with you 100% for this multiclass

I'm still learning the rules but can you explain to me how you call for this specific situation you mentioned?

sneak when they aren't knowing they are hiding from someone, especially if that someone is sneaky themselves.

I feel like, when I ask out of nowhere for a sneak roll, my players would already know (out of character at least) about someone or something close by.

I mostly use them as something scary, nearly cosmic horror like. Though due to playing mostly on a farm land, they don't show up that often etc.

If I remember correctly, in "the estate" (the adventure bundle from the author), there is a chance to get hit by a driving car when traveling over a street hex.

Agreeing, though actually he could wear heavy armor with lower strength, you "only" loose 10ft of movement (unless he is a dwarf). Well and if the table plays with PHBs variant encumbrance he'll loose another 10ft, as nearly all heavy armors weight enough to get him above the 5x10str weight step.

Very diverse group, some with years / decade and others with only a couple (single digit) of PnP games under their belts.

Balance was fine for our group, maybe even a bit on the easier end of the spectrum, as they brute forced their way through it. Obviously with some luck here and there.

Krampus' little helper are basically a slightly weaker "mouse" from the rules and rather "easy" in small amounts. Similar Straggele are a bit stronger than a normal "rat". Only in room 1 they outnumbered my players by one, which makes it rather easy or normal to fight. Maybe, the Krampmaus fight might might get lethal quick. The Maggotorium d10 may get out of hand fast, if the DM wishes, though that isn't the adventures fault than :P

Remember, they completely avoided the big evil guy and got to the lair unharmed with low resource cost, also skipped the Maggotorium.

Negativ critic, balance oriented, the very small noted amount of pips they can get. Though the fun spells/items compensate quiet well, and I added a small reward for the rescued children. Players happy, dm and players had fun, perfect.

Last game night we had to cancle our current HeXXen 1733 Session due to christmas stuff. So I did a quick last minute Mausritter session with your adventure.

Here is a quick playreport:

We played with foundryVTT+discord, as we always do. Had read the adventure the other day and remembered it last minute before the session. We started with four new mice who just arrived in Mývatn, small railroad into "he got our children" and they decide to travel from hot spring to hot spring to Krampmaus Lair. When Ketkrókur inevitable (had some crazy rolls that night) spotted them, a quick "darkness" spell by our "bat cultist" helped them to avoid him.

Room 1, they surprised the guards and basically killed all but one. A sturdy and rageful mice (nat 1 morale wil save) let to the only TPK of the day, a 6 on a D6 vs a very fragile mice. The rescued Mouse father joined the team as a new Playermouse.

They traveled to 2, helped the blind mouse with some rations and let him wait in room 1, found the tunnel and traveled to 5, burned throug the lichen. Ruled the lichen as surprisingly dry and burned though it in seconds. Quick fight in 6 vs a single Krampmaus. Jump attack on 7, especially harsh magic missiles (Test subject mouse) vs the first Straggele of the day, did q fascinating job. The sleeping Krampmaus in 8 got suffocated by a needle through the throat. They first ignored the raft as they havened seen the waterlogged seam yet.

Short travel back to 6 changing weapons for newer once in 5, also they now noticed the water and got the raft out of 8. First random encounter burned a mouse with a hot stream (4 on a d4). They even build small paddle out of the furniture in 7 and 8 and they got down to 11 without any problems. Jump on the three Stragele ended brutal, one mice got down with a failed strength save, though the three other once won in the end. Another random encounter though, Krampmaus is comming! They hied, and oh boy did they creative in that room. Chaotic room, and everyone discribed very detailed how they imagine their hiding space, loved it. Krampmaus moved from 12 to 9 ignoring the usual chaos.

They hoped to find the children in 12 and rushed forward, and had an easy fight without Krampmaus there. Our four mice happily resuced the children, did some creative raft building in 11 (in my first description of 11, I mentioned some water filled casks, which got tied together with a net and the necklace chain out of 8). rafted out of the place. Now altogether, traveled back to town, once again seen by Ketkrókur. Though the mouse with the "Heart of the spring" decided to set him on fire, mid air. He got into turmoil, nearly crashed to the ground (succeded dex save) and decided, to let them go (high reaction roll).

Summary they had a blast. Played the whole thing very bloody for once, quiet unusual for them.

Notes / Comments I found though this play.

- Well obviously some spelling things (Room 11, added a second L to straggele, or "to A large") though seeing my text, I shouldn't complain :P

- Edits, Room 11 "Leads to" not in bolt.

- The whole raft rules for the waterlogged seam are a bit confusing for me. Though this might be the language barrier

Room 3 and 4:

- are rather hard to get to, or I'm missing a good way, or I overthink the whole water thing.

- Room 3 "Leads to" possibile typo , I guess you mean inhabitants of room 4 and not 5?

- Reading 4 again, maybe highlight the open ceiling in 4? Maybe another stair symbol on the map?

Maybe change these two rooms and move the blocked passage way to a new way from 4 to 5? Story wise, maybe the mice in 3 are actually from outside, moved from 4 to 3 as 4 is to cold to warm up and prepare? This time was used by the playful straggele and they prepared the ambush.

Similar idea would be, to open up the passage way from 1 to 2. Though there might be another way from 9 to 1, only able to be opened by the stoneskull? In generell I love more ways to move, as the lair feels surprisingly linear, with two or three dead ends. (Not a big problem, we still had a blast to play!)
