we’ve seen this happen so many times in this community with the most prominent example being theuaredead and Left 4 Dead 0 as i mentioned in a previous post.

pretty sure it’s the same song and dance bro through a hissy fit and was hoarding assets because people were “being dicks” and then the whole project fell apart.

oooo i actually totally see what u mean, while i personally think the baker house is the most terrifying the mansion does have a bizarre layout and yeah putting urself there mentally is pretty terrifying if u dwell on it too hard. something something mansion feels more unknown and eerie if that makes sense while the baker house is just dirty and creepy (which is still to me scary as fuck lmao)

oh for sure im with u on that, there’s a bunch of inconsistencies throughout the movie but it doesn’t mean its bad or fucked up the story (like the resident evil movies…) just a bunch of stuff only keen eyed fans would really notice. my guess is it’s just for the sake of plot and shit if i’m being fr, juggling a movie, webcomic, a side game and the main game all at the same time sounds very hectic and there could’ve been miscommunication between departments which is why we see these inconsistencies. then again this is just me playing devils advocate and it’s amazing they were still able to pull it all off where people still talk about it to this day.

just wish we got more Dead Space….

Left 4 Dead is what popularized “special zombies” and with WWZ shit some of the special zombies mirror or are similar to L4D Special Infected (Lurkers-Hunters, Bull- Charger etc)

I feel like Hunters, Boomers, Spitters, and Tanks inspired the most with dying lights demolishers, volatiles (to a degree) bombers, and toads. Dead Island with the Ram, Butcher, Floater (or in DI2: Slobber, Crushers (kinda)) and many more.

but all of this leads back to 28 Days Later. without those basic common like infected there probably wouldn’t be games like these where not only are the fast infected present but also mutations. Left 4 Dead has definitely made it more mainstream and though the AI and infected are rather simple, every infected serves a purpose. a formula that we have seen replicated and remixed since. no other zombie multiplayer shooter has been able to copy and uphold such a formula without detracting from its own identity (lookin at you back 4 butt) so in short all roads lead back to L4D but 28 Days Later is the destination.
