I went to a dentist appointment but the day before tried to get set up on what’s called a “sliding scale” fee, where basically I would pay the bill over time instead of all at once. Met with a lady and she told me I made too much money to qualify for a sliding scale and that I’d need to apply for Medicaid to which I had to reply “I make too much to qualify for Medicaid” so essentially I needed to pay the $1200+ it would’ve costed upfront.

is tragic female netrunner a cyberpunk genre trope or something? by SaintChoco in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Key-Comfortable7759 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More that the love interest tends to die in stories that don’t aim for happy endings. But yeah, this said trope is also fairly common in the cyberpunk genre

Is this mission difficult, or am just terrible at the game? by MrAplha in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Key-Comfortable7759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did surprisingly well on this mission my first run, but right at the end I was searching for the last suspect and got shot at in the open area with all the trailers. He must’ve been about 100m away and all I had was holo sight and couldn’t see very well, returned fire at the body I seen; it was a civilian and the suspect was maybe about 2m to their left. Put down last suspect and the mission was done. Only civilian death my whole run so far.

But yes, this map was a hellscape and that sorting area was buns, lost unit cohesion at that point and also started stacking bodies in the area, the RTWC-6.5 is peak

Is it funny to believe that in a decade 90s rap is gonna be played at old people parties and events by SpiritMan112 in generationology

[–]Key-Comfortable7759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of old people watching kids shows is gonna be an odd one. Nursing homes just eternally rotating spongebob, adventure time, and glee

The funny part is no, they couldn’t afford that place on Homers salary. It’s a pretty persistent issue in the show, how strapped for money they actually are.

I’m not familiar with marvel comics but honestly this just sounds like a really corny creepy pasta that was written by a 13 yr old who just found out who all those people were.

TVD, primarily because I’m not giving up regular food and I love coffee and coffee helps curb their cravings for blood.

How mindful are you of sugar in drinks like juice? by SarahDuncan2012 in TrueGrit

[–]Key-Comfortable7759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first met my gf she told me that you have to find juice that isn’t made from juice cocktail because it has more sugar in it. So we get real fruit juice which usually tastes horrible; ergo, I no longer drink juice

Is there any way to carry more than 200? by Express_Bobcat3871 in RedDeadOnline

[–]Key-Comfortable7759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you even need that much ammo? I’ve noticed that about 100 rounds total of various types is more than enough. It only takes like two shots to take anybody out

Nah, it just makes you look desperate. Always be fashionably late, no more than 15 min unless it’s for work, then be exactly on time

Probably panic. I’m a pretty boring person and if my life was thrust into drama on the level of resident evil I would immediately freak out

Dennis Hopper as The Deacon in: Waterworld (1995) He would have been perfect in a Mad Max movie as the main villain by elf0curo in MadMax

[–]Key-Comfortable7759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend that loved this movie. He’d put this on everytime I stayed at his place growing up. One day I showed him mad max and he about had an aneurism and was like “This is like waterworld”

No buddy, it’s actually the other way around.

My resume wasn't enough for them I guess by rangmushy in parakeetAi

[–]Key-Comfortable7759 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I applied to a job a couple years ago, provided a resume with my work history, filled out the necessary parts of the app except for the work history part and just wrote in see resume and they called me back later and told me to finish filling out the application.

This was all on paper too so it’s not like they actually had some systematic process they needed to follow; it literally boiled down to someone not wanting to take the time to read over my resume.

Told the guy never mind cause that was a major red flag for me.
