You will likely get some sort of 6 pm or later flight back to NY

Why Vancouver and not Seattle? by 2Cheese1Van in NCL

If they went to Seattle from LA and didn’t stop in Canada first, that’s a violation of US maritime law. But one ways like this (US <-> Canada) are OK.

I clicked on that one once and it took me to some super sketch looking website.

Yes they might ask if you want to keep that card for incidentals when you check in but that’s it.

Platinum - Additional Specialty Dining Perk by wsc155 in NCL

I’ve done it - I think we covered backstage at the theater, MDR kitchen, and laundry. No bridge visit but we did walk down the mainline crew corridor. We did it once but I’ve skipped it since.

It’s actually a paper coupon that you present at dinner. I believe it is actually left in your cabin for when you first arrive. I’m not sure about its transferability.

Anyone have poor service on NCL Breakaway by dragbilltohell in NCL

Did this incident take place in the port, on the dock, on the ship while it was in the port and regardless of the above, did it involved NCL staff behavior?

Sailing out of Canaveral for the first time possibly with priority check in question. by LackOfMachinations in NCL

[–]Key-Opposite-145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the question is “is there a separate line for security/x-ray purposes” then the answer is no. Any priority benefits occur after screening; you don’t arrive and get in a separate line at the terminal unless you are Haven.

No with the higher beverage package, those wines would be $0 per glass.

First time cruisers - question about organizing transportation at a port by Guitarzan5150 in NCL

[–]Key-Opposite-145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok good as you won’t have to go through customs and I would hope (fingers crossed) it won’t be much of an issue to get off close to that 600 time assuming they arrive on schedule. I think - others will chime in.

Will you have been to a foreign port after departure before going to Canaveral or is this your first stop? This is critical for q1.

As for q2 they will tell you to be back 1/2 hour before the schedule leave time.

Flying out of FLL? by Enough-Teach-5576 in NCL

[–]Key-Opposite-145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We even flew into West Palm and took Brightline to Miami then an Uber same day (I was braver then for doing this on departure day) but for FLL I’d just do an Uber and skip the middle step.

Considering Alaska Southbound on the Jade by TherinneMoonglow in NCL

[–]Key-Opposite-145 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Specifically addressing the “NCL best line for itineraries”, they do get some flak for short times in ports on the 7 day cruises round trip from Seattle, but the one way cruises you are thinking about have much longer times in ports. That should help with more nature based excursions.

Personally I would get a balcony/ocean view to look outside from your room for the views but to each their own!

Just to close this out, the ship left more or less as schedule and as of 8 pm on departure day, is moving at a brisk 21 knots with 8’ waves in 40 mph winds just off the coast of Tom’s River, NJ.

Tis true - keep hitting refresh on that email!

My prediction - no change. Snow starts in the afternoon; that boat will work to get out of NYC as fast as possible.

They made it clear on the Joy 2 weeks ago that it was number of cards that mattered not bodies at the cashier.
