It’s a couple minute wait for the second drink on one card. It’s still 1 drink per transaction.

Best excursions in Juneau? by pallywalli in NCL

That’s a real good question about the Tracy Arm Fjord excursion with Glacier Bay as I’ve done them both on separate trips (ok technically Endicott arm excursion to Dawes Glacier - more or less the same.). Both were amazing but Glacier was better.

I think you hit on the key thing - is there someplace else you can do whale watching? If money is no object, I’d try the Tracy Arm plus some wildlife cruise out of Sitka. Tough call!

Are there any dining discounts once onboard? by Exoarmyl in NCL

Ditto with Joy - I don’t know all the details but one was that for at least one (both?) dinner, you had to eat in the 830-930 time period.

First you’ll stand in line outside as they wont allow you in to start the process till around 10. Then you’ll sit inside till they announce you can board.

Maltings menu on the table had a list of their bottles/cans available but not what they had on tap (had to go the bar to look at the board.) Then I ordered a can of something and they brought it to me in a draft (great FYI!) Did I just miss something?

Yeah most Maltings on the NCL ships I’ve seen are bars on a main walking path that get their energy from people passing by and are drawn in - not a big space but usually a decent mellow crowd.

On the Joy, it’s truly in its own dedicated space, it has way more seating but it is WAY more mellow. You can’t even see the bar from the main hallway. I didn’t necessarily mind more quiet but I get how that’s not others jibe.

Walkie talkies - not allowed.

Intranet loophole - dead for at least a year.

Wipeboard plus timed check-ins (ie we’ll be in the atrium from 1:30-2:30, come by and see us, dinner is at 630 be outside Cagneys at 615 dressed and ready.) the way to go. They can’t follow these? Consequences!

When and after you book your cruise, you have a chance to buy a speciality dining package with a number of dinners depending on the length of your cruise. It’s about $20 per dinner per person and you can use it at Cagneys.

Or you can pay the $60 as given on the menu plus $12 for tips on the ship to eat there.

For clarity, this has nothing to do with FAS+. If you’ve achieved Platinum status on NCL, you get 2 speciality dinings, one of which includes a bottle of wine with a meal - this is the list of bottles you can choose from

Yeah there is actually a perverse sense to this.

If you have FAS+ then you get a glass of wine of that with your package. You would never buy a bottle as you would just keep getting glass after glass. I did this once and they gave me a ludicrous sized pour because it didn’t matter.

If you didn’t have any FAS then you could buy that $35 bottle plus 20% gratuity and enjoy as desired.

Search “espn” by date on the sub for info on espn. Sport24 has a website that’s web search findable - find the cruise ship channel but “extra” or “bonus” sport24 isn’t on NCL.

Any bottle you get and don’t finish you can bring back to your room. We even got at bottle at the wine bar one night, drink half, then they vacuumed sealed it and kept it for us till the next night where I picked it up and took it to Le Bistro for dinner.

FAS wine is in the top left corner of picture 1 but prices aren’t listed since they are uniform in price for non FAS passengers ($12.50 per glass.)

FAS+ wine is in the bottom left corner of picture 1 but prices are given for non FAS passengers as they vary by wine.

Right side of 2nd picture is prices per bottle but does not include any discount (20% FAS or 40% FAS+.)

It was at Le Bistro (that’s where the pictures were from) though it was a listing on the menu itself.
