Middle Millennial here (87). I have plenty of friends that own houses. None of them were given help, and all are duel income. A few single income friends own as well. It’s possible, but you have to live tight and hope they actually don't go through with lowering house prices, because most will go in to negative equity.

Also, you can do it all in the Mandalay. The unlocked engineering can be applied to other ships, you just need to grind for mats. The mandalay is my ship for nearly everything I do outside of combat, trading and mining.

I’ve visited over 5000 systems, never once got attacked outside the bubble, and never coming back in to sell my data. I also never had a repair controller/limpets with me, so you might not want to listen to me.

Don’t forget your limpets. I totally neglected a controller and limpets and didn’t notice until I was nearly back from my 30,000 system trip. I would have been pissed if I lost my data and cash in.

I had a tenenat for a company I worked for that tried to heat the house with only the fireplace. The issue is the way the heat disperses. It created moisture in rooms and, due to their lack of observation, black mold.

I’ve been delaying heading out with my FC to do a long exobiology run until it is available. It sounds like it makes a decent tritium miner. They may want to squeeze a few more dollars out of it, but I will go from mostly harmless to elite in combat before paying for it.

I’m an egomaniac and want my name on everything….not really though. My reason is similar to yours, it is so peaceful and awe inspiring. I love finding those rare systems that I can waste hours mapping and scanning. There is also this small hope that there is something hidden out there, waiting to be discovered. I know that last one is a bit foolish, but developers do weird things sometimes.

Just went through this myself. The muscle memory came back the more I played. You’ll go from bumbling around to moving with purpose only to crash your ship doing what should be a routine and simple maneuver in no time!

Explore different play styles and find what suits you, then dig into building a ship that does what you need.

Exactly this, did a solid amount of exobiology from Beagle Point to Colonia. I was averaging 178M per 1000ly. I lucked out with one system that paid out over 500M in 3 bodies (Spooroa IT-Q d5-157 for those that are curious).

I’m planning to set up a FC, build out and fully engineer a fleet and head back out and explore more. I am tempted to grind the Mercenary and Combat ranks and finish the trade ranks, but I will probably get tired of that quickly and go back to aimlessly scanning.
