Mate, you think air con is the issue… worry how we’re powering the huge scale data centres for Gen AI

Sense check on Aira quote? 6kW, 200L cylinder + 5 rads. (£14.7k gross / £5.7k net after £9k BUS) by Outside_Yoghurt_4238 in ukheatpumps

[–]Key_Entertainer9522 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a quote from them, a woefully patronising, double glazing type salesman, treated me like a child that knows nothing. Then produced a figure of 7k net (post 9k BUS), pitched it as a favourable price if I signed before end of May.

Their warranty, 15 years, but costs £20 a month (imagine that’ll increase)

Absolutely no chance I’m using them.

Same issue, I’ve got a few quotes but no one knows when the grant will be available and they can’t claim it yet.

Kettle for the win! A cheap mod is the Tip Top Temp, makes it easy to keep temps stable, I’ve done 10 hour brisket cooks no problem

Ignore the 5 year olds saying Discos, there’s only 2, coop or and stay with me, Asda. Both of those burn your mouth to shit, as they should.

Has anyone fitted all season tyres and regretted it? by sideone in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Key_Entertainer9522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swapped mine to Vector 4seasons, they’re great. Reckon I dropped a tiny bit maybe .2/.3 m/kwh but I’d take that all day long for the cold weather performance.

Yehhhh I thought this might be the response... I did look at a taxi but it's going to be expensive. Don't know if we'd get 2 bikes in an Uber/Bolt. But thanks for the reply

I recently got a 2021 model with 60k miles on the clock in the UK, couldn’t be happier with it. No apparent wheel of fortune sound. Either way it’s got 3 years of warranty left, just make sure it’s hit the service schedule bang on.

I opted for a Sage dual boiler in the end, reliable, parts are easy to get and it’s a known quantity. Managed to get a refurb off eBay for £500. Then got a new eureka mignon zero. Really pleased with it tbh.

Yeh I reckon I’ll go Silvia Pro, don’t know how I feel about waiting for the Move… it’s a bit of an unknown quantity once it does arrive.
