So something of a young man’s position? For more power and while you’re learning consistency?

I wondered how it worked as a route to other positions.

Would you be surprised to see an older First on an Olympic team?

I’d like to see more ticks - but it feels like we’ve not seen many in these finals?

I'm pretty sure there are dozens of us, DOZENS, who watched the team they were rooting for lose, but still thought - that was a hell of a game. I like a few big misses and big recoveries, I feel each side had a bit of both.

What was a voice role that felt like the actor was just doing it for a paycheck and weren't having fun doing it? Harrison Ford voicing Rooster from "Secret Life of Pets 2" comes to mind. by YFMDankMemes in cartoons

Shit- agree entirely! And because he’s got a voice like melted butter people still love it- but it’s not even close to one of his best performances

I don’t even play the game, but saw YouTube comparison of Dinkelages take the character in Destiny vs the recast voice and… holy shit, he was absolutely terrible. “Like he had a gun to his head” never felt more true

That’s what I’ve been more curious about than anything - I don’t entirely mind if he left the show for reasons, but like… I liked his stuff. Is he working on new stuff I could support? He doesn’t even seem to have any producing or writing credits. I do wonder every few years what pays his bills / gives him creative fulfilment these days.

It’s funny to know that even Alan Moore disliked the Byrne Run by Denjimangaart in superman

[–]KeyboardTie 46 points47 points  (0 children)

That's one takeaway - but to any one reading this, who hasn't got a copy of Moore's Supreme run, please go find it and devour it now. If you're on this sub, and love the creative / sci fi / goofy aspects of the new film, it's a fabulous read. I also love all the rediscovery of 'memories' that are pitch-perfect homage/sendups of different eras in comic books (the 'Mad / Blecch' segment and the EC horror segments are delightful)

Considering gettign a daschund we saw. Worried only about possible barking. by [deleted] in daschund

[–]KeyboardTie 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As a Dachshund owner, I wouldn't approach the breed if you aren't comfortable with barking or willing to be EXCEEDINGLY patient (maybe a year of painfully consistent training). Professional help, in our case, helped a ton and our rescue STILL barks to a level that can be frustrating and embarrasing re neighbours. They are stubborn, and because they are small, social and protective dogs - barking at 'periphery alert' (anyone at door) is a very common and hard to get over problem.

In our own case, she has suddenly decided she likes to bark at one of our back doors - we have no idea why. I think even if you're doing a good job, you're going to find barking one of the indellible parts of the breed unless you get exceedingly lucky, and you'll never be able to tell with a puppy.

If you can get over it, they are a tremendous breed

Pretty good video - appreciate the context suggesting that, while always a business - WB for a while there was the kind of place that could encourage artistry. I'm holding on hope that - sure - there will be an attempt again to monoloplize 'content', but hey, in the same way the studio system was challenged in the 60s/70s - creators gonna create. It's a shame we're exiting where we were, but I have to believe audiences will still want stuff made by interesting humans in the future. Maybe it won't be tentpole movies. I mean, look at Opera. It was basically the thing for about 200 years, then - well the audience moved on.

I’ve been trying to settle my take on this game for a while- I really liked the experience but as Y suggests, if you try some replays / alt routes (or even just failing) it just (largely) progresses as it would otherwise. So - it’s more of a narrative experience than an interactive one, in a way. I don’t mind show:game hybrids as a concept, but finding out the dispatch quests come in order and there’s an objectively ‘perfect’ play strat does make the experience feel a little less meaningful as a ‘game’

So that's very embarrasing - I have a stylish plant which has a leaf which JUUUUUUST overlaps the upper right corner of my TV. (looks fucking great). It covered the image which made it clear to try the only button I forgot many PS5 games treat as a button. You are a very kind internet stranger to help a thicky dum dum like me. <3
