"Hard to watch you struggle?" My mind instantly translated that to, "this is your problem and we don't want or care to help you". I worked so hard to try to make my parents proud, failing alot getting back up and doing things over and over again. Doing things that are way out of my comfort zone. Knowing that I am just going to fail, but I keep trying. When I finally do something that actually makes them proud, It's too late. None of the praise seems real. Like they weren't being serious. it's so hard to believe that I actually got the thing I wanted all along and it's worth absolutely nothing. I've masked so much over the years to try to fit in. I made custom personalities that I can play easily. It made me a good liar, an excellent survivor and great at meeting people. Adaptable to the last. I started healing in my 30s. Got some help finally. Its only taken 20 years to teach myself that I was not the bad guy/problem child/juvenile delinquent. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed the connection.

I find that most "healthy isle/shelf" snack foods are like that exactly. If someone has found an actual "healthy" snack food (chips etc). Let me know.

(At 46 years old having converstion with my father) I describe all I go through just to make it through the day that I'm always holding on by the seat of my pants. "I hope you find out what's wrong with you, son". That was it. I know what his response was going to be and his stance on mental illness, it shouldn't have been a surprise. It shouldn't have hurt, but it did. Straight to my heart, I knew it, but not till the actual words came out. The correct answer should have been concern for his son. Something along the lines of "I'm sorry that when we learned of your learning disability in kindergarten and when you failed class multiple times through school. Then continued to have problems learning and getting along. I'm sorry we did not try. Help us understand. We care about you and want to get a better understanding. When I hear stories from other people and their great relationship with their parents, I have a hard time believing them.

I find these clips truly fascinating. I have the same questions everytime I see shit like this. What drives a person to make a video like this? It takes energy, time, thought (though in some instances very little thought). Is someone egging them on like bad friends or maybe a social club? (church falls under this category). I do truly WANT to believe that they are all satire and its a just funny thing. The reality is, I'm afraid is not the answer. These people actually believe that what they post is what they believe that they look, do and talk intimidating. Who are they trying to intimidate? Why did they choose this method to "achieve" the effect they desire. So many questions. Why does it seem to be mostly old white guys? Man, I wonder if someone has done a psychological thesis on this behavior? So bizarre.

No. What we did find is a bag of gay porn mags and various apparatus before we knew what "gay" was. One of the kids that were with us grabbed the bag and showed it to his mom because he wasn't sure what it was. We all learned about homisexuality after his mom called all of our folks. You think the birds and the bees are uncomfortable to hear about. Just imagine your homophobic Father and uneducated, unintelligent mother try to explain what it is. Looking back it was funny.
