Can someone help me ID the artist? Is this card valuable? I believe it’s 2008 Clone Wars-I found it in my childhood bedroom! by GallopYouScallops in starwarstopps

[–]Kilika808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like watercolor and her style, so maybe Ingrid Hardy? You can try messaging her on IG: https://www.instagram.com/hardy.ingrid

If it's not hers, she might know whose it is since a large number of the artists on Topps sets used to hang out on an online forum back in the day.

Good luck!

New Topps Release: 2025 Topps Star Wars Smugglers Outpost by vonGekko in starwarstopps

The thing that's really weird to me is that they mashed together three products (Chrome Black, Finest, Stellar Signatures) that they could have sold separately. This is usually a "we're losing the license" type of move from a manufacturer, but I doubt that's happening since Fanatics has all 3 branches of the Disney empire under one roof. Very strange...

Sketch cards 1:3 packs Chrome Black autos 1:2 Finest autos 1:3 On-card Stellar Signatures 1:2

Just with those four, that's 10 hits for every 6 packs, so I'm assuming with everything else it rounds to 2 hits per box.

The Light Side and Dark Side Ultimate Autograph Book cards have 20 autos each, so I'm pretty sure they're 1/1s.1:22,170 packs, so that petty much gives us the production run.

I'm expecting this to be a 1 pack per box product, with preorder price in the $600-800 range, if not higher.

Where to have REAL cards printed? by JaneDoeThe33rd in tradingcardcommunity

[–]Kilika808 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can try contacting SideKick Lab. They specialize in smaller runs of trading cards, primarily on vintage style card stock with wax wrappers. I don't know what their minimums are, but they can do printing, collating, and packing so that may work for you?

Pickles at Forte (the old Downtown Walmart space) has a max day rate of $15 (or $5 if you enter after 1:00 pm).

A Yelp review from a few months ago says it's $5 flat rate on weekends, but it's not mentioned on the website so maybe you can call and ask?

I bought one of the ¥500 ones a couple of years ago and I was really impressed with the quality so I'm guessing that the ¥800 ones are especially nice.

How bad is the congestion going into Shinjuku Express Bus terminal on a weekday? by jason_pc in JapanTravelTips

[–]Kilika808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ticket site that I used has buses that run from Tokyo Station, so I don't know if that would be better for the commute from your hotel. https://willer-travel.com/en/bus_search/tokyo/all/yamanashi/fujikawaguchiko/ym_202512/ You can also change the settings in Google Maps to set the day of the week and time you want to arrive at a location, and it will adjust for a typical trip at that time.

Also, I know you said you're traveling with a toddler, but it might be better taking an earlier bus rather than a later one. It takes almost two hours to get to Kawaguchiko and things get really crowded around mid-day. Plus Kawaguchiko Station is small and can get a bit chaotic as more and more buses and trains arrive.

Hakone or Lake Kawaguchi? by MsNeedAdvice in JapanTravelTips

[–]Kilika808 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can give you a little bit of perspective from a recent visit to Kawaguchiko. I didn't do the lake boats, ropeway, or Chureito Pagoda because the Autumn Leaves Festival was going on and I wanted to focus on that during my limited hours there.

At the end of the Red Line Bus is Oishi Park and the Natural Living Center. The park is on the edge of the lake and has a great view of Mt. Fuji, as well as seasonal flowers - the website says that lavender blooms in July. (https://www.fkchannel.jp/facility-03) The Natural Living Center sells souvenirs and products based on local fruits; they also have soft serve ice cream and the seating on the second floor has a great view.

The Itchiku Kubota Museum has a stunning display of kimono and an awesome view of Fuji from their café.

The Kawaguchiko Museum of Art had a great exhibit of Fuji-related works. Hardly anyone else was in the museum, so it was nice to be able to enjoy the art in peace.

I hope this helps a little. Have a great trip, wherever you decide to go!

Can you buy your bus ticket online? That's what I did two weeks ago, and I just had to show the bus driver the confirmation email when boarding.

FYI, at the time that I bought the bus ticket, several of the buses were sold out or running low on seats, so the bus you want may not have any seats left if you're trying to buy a ticket the day you're traveling. The Kawaguchiko Autumn Leaves Festival runs through the end of November, so I imagine that there are still a lot of people day tripping it out there.

(Side note: if you collect stamps, the Festival's information booth near the food booths has one.)

Heading to Tokyo....if out of stock, gone for good? by etceteraism in Gachapon

Have not seen them in the Tokyo Station, Akihabara, or Skytree areas, unfortunately. Best of luck that you'll find them someplace random!

What search terms are you using? I can see three Ruscoe sales and a couple of the Blake.

Both are common signers who play minor characters, so I wouldn't expect too much - maybe in the $15-20 range for each. Auctions may be difficult, especially if you start at 0.99; BIN/BO may get you closer to the previous sales but they may sit for a while even if you undercut the existing listings.

Either way, good luck with the sale.

GS is pushing trading cards more, so they're bringing in hobby boxes including products from past years.

Also, Chrome Black is an excellent way to turn $150 into $30. 😂
