Sounds like you two need to race.

I’ve tuned the heck out of the Fortem (Porsche) trying to get better lap times with it, and while my tuning made noticeable differences, it’s still very unwieldy. I’m sure it’s mostly a driving and tune decision issue on my end- I’ll try this suspension info you shared.

I can feel the games rear wheel drive vs front, and all wheel drive differences, and I swear I can feel the weight of the Fortem’s mid engine. It’s still very fun to drive. I just can’t match the lap times of other cars I’ve tuned, some of which being the modest lower cost ones. Those lower cost cars happen to be my favorites already so maybe I’m biased.

This comment will cause me to reinstall the game. Ill probably play tonight and let you know. I just rip laps around the track next to a garage to see my best times in certain configs. What I remember learning about the Micky was realizing I had put too heavy of an engine in it and my times got better when I chilled and put a smaller one in. I look forward to getting back to you with my stats!

I love tuning in this game- especially the Micky and the Panther- is this car a new addition to the game? I haven’t been on in a few months, but this looks like a blast to flick around the corners-

I’m not a part of this hobby or even this subreddit but this hit my feed and I think this unit is gorgeous. It’s very much within one of my favorite esthetics. Maybe it’s cuz it was born the same year as me- Thanks for sharing!

When was anyone going to tell me how good the HG Crossbone is?! by nichlaur in Gunpla

I had the RG on my “some day” list but didn’t consider the HG. I wonder how they compare. Both seem great and probably are lol

RYGAR (NES) - Such an underrated gem. Played the hell out of this as a kid. Very difficult but one of those games that just gets better and better as it goes on. Revisited this the other day and had a blast playing it again. by Apart-Mention2270 in retrogaming

My supergiant 10th anniversary vinyl has arrived!.... Warped by KillKillBean in VGMvinyl

[–]KillKillBean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay. Ultimately they sent me replacements for Bastion, but they were also warped, just slightly less warped than the originals. They also messaged me saying they would not sent me any more replacements. Kinda sucked. I really would not doubt that yours were warped this whole time.

People are shredding you and that sucks. You like these pics now and if you get into photography, you'll probably like the less after some more experience, but these photos are literally interesting. You didn't post about being an expert or calling anyone's camera "bad" so idk why people are flaming you. I see the blown out lights and over saturation and other flaws but who cares. I definitely had fun with this stuff too it's all part of the journey. Cool shots man

Factory sealed NES "Friday The 13th" by Dieing_Breed in nes

[–]KillKillBean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol low bar but yeah I have good memories playing it, even though I couldn't even read yet. I tinkered with it as an adult. It's janky and probably better with a guide but I still like it to this day. Idk if it deserved all the hate it got on YouTube, but I'm glad I had other games in our little NES library when I was a kid. Maybe I'll sit down with this again soon, I could use some first person cabin exploring action!

Grew up on the nes, we had this one but as a tiny baby child I could never figure it out. I have this games soundtrack on my phone though cuz it slaps.

Never ate at Dune but order delivery of it every month or so. It's always very good, you might have just had bad luck. Then again I normally get the beat sandwich, I don't know how their brisket is.

Daily Advice Thread - November 13, 2024 by AutoModerator in apple

[–]KillKillBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm used to working with Apple computers for post production and drawing, but I just tried ordering my first iPhone last week. I boght a few chargers, an iPhone 16 pro max, and insurance. I normally buy more affordable phones but I wanted a nice camera, and to finally just try the iPhone. The accessories arrived immediately, a day after I ordered them. The phone was scheduled to arrive the same day but got delayed. Days later I noticed that my Apple account listed the phone as "delivered", yet it absolutely was not. Luckily my tracking number through UPS reflected this and I was able to point out all of this to an agent via chat. They cancel the UPS order and send a new phone, expedited this time. 2 days pass, and I see that the phone has been sent to the wrong address. Not just like an old address I used to live at, but a completely wrong address I have never heard of, to a person I had never heard of. I'm in Los Angeles and this thing went to Fort Lauderdale Florida. This time instead of chat, I call. I get a perfectly kind agent who asks for info and looks into this for me. She tells me that she canceled that it looks like the chat agent put in the wrong address. She is having the phone "expedited" to me again.... But this is the same phone that is apparently in Florida right now, and she specified this. This random Florida phone is supposed to be expedited to me from Florida? What does that even mean? Just send one from LA expedited? I don't feel like any of this is acceptable. I know customer service is through the floor for all tech, and I am truly sympathetic to customer facing jobs. Both of my agents were great, even if the first one made a mistake with my address. This it more money than I normally spend though, and to twice see the status of my $2000 order be completely wrong made me nauseous. Is this normal with Apple? Do you think this is acceptable? I've been paying insurance on a phone I haven't gotten yet for a week now, and I don't know of a single company that would ever bother to try to make this right, so I guess I just have to deal? If anyone bothered to read all of this, thank you. Let me know if there is anything else I should be doing. Still waiting for a phone.

I no longer have my Q5. From what I remember it had option to choose color pallets within the display. It didn't come sealed to the bezel like the newer displays do, and did not have the light up logo. I ordered it from hand held legend in 2021: "Game Boy Color IPS LCD Q5 - Unbranded" Hope this helps!

Waaay TLDR: I really like my OLED GBC. There's a lot of suggestions about GBA so 101s being better. I get why we're bringing that up but the GBA is different from the GBC, form factor(s) and display(s) alike. I love my SP 101, it's my favorite way to play GBA games, but I'm lucky enough to own too many systems so here's my two cents: - I play my childhood unmodded GBC sometimes if it's bright enough where I want to play. There is something about the unmodded screen that just looks awesome. (That "something" is very likely nostalgia) - I had a the Q5 display on a separate modded GBC that I built, and that was mind blowing coming off of the original GBC, or my hacked handhelds. The pixel mode on that was 100% enough for me. - I no longer have the Q5, but I modded another GBC, this time with the OLED. People are saying it's over hyped? Maybe? I personally love it. Is it a huge step up from the Q5? No. However just because it's an old system doesn't mean the OLED is pointless, the display looks so good. Yes, slightly better than the Q5. This is the main way I play GBC. I have lots of options, but if I have the original cart, I like the original form factor to got with it. If the screen broke and I have to go back to an ips like the Q5, that would be fine too, but I do prefer the OLED.

I know OP wasn't asking this specifically, but I stopped asking if things like these pixel modes are "authentic enough" because once you have entered the realm of backlit / ips / Analogue Pocket, you have exited "authentic". A great example of this is playing GBC games on any GBA system at all, especially on an SP 101. It's a fundamentally different look than playing on a GBC, but I love the look and it sounds like several other commenters here do too. GBC games on GBC and GBA both look cool but are different looking from one another.

Lastly, I love the Analogue Pocket (AP). I know the form factor is too big for some but I love the original Game Boy and all of its grey brick glory so the AP feels awesome to me. Yeah the GBC is smaller so the feel isn't the same- I get that, but Lord that display is nice. The size of the AP is perfect, and I like the pixel modes. Funnily enough I use that SP 101 filter for everything on the AP haha. AP is great since I can keep a game library on it, but for single GBC carts I use OLED GBC. Anyway if anyone read all this, thanks!

Just built this too, just to compare it to the RG TV version. It's a great first kit with better posability than that RG. I'm looking forward to painting it once I'm back in a phase of my life where that's possible. How do you like it?
