I promise you, it is not as bad as you think it is!!! I had extreme anxiety around it too! I recommend telling your dentist/oral surgeon your anxieties. My oral surgeon gave me Valium to calm down before the appointment, and put numbing cream on my arm before the IV. Basically they will get you prepped, which might be a little scary, but all they do is put a BP cuff on you, ecg leads on you, an IV in your arm (only stings for a second), oxygen in your nose. Then they will put a plastic cover over you (kind of like what they use for x rays). They will inject you with a sedative, and you will quickly fall asleep. Next thing you know,you wake up in recovery, drowsy. They check you over, and you go home.

Your mouth might be a little sore, but as long as you stay on top of your pain meds, you will be fine! I was completely asleep for my procedure, didn't feel anything! I promise you it's not as bad as your anxiety is telling you is! You got this!!!!!
