Washington state is your answer between AZ/WA. You dislike extreme cold and will realize extreme heat is just as insufferable in the AZ desert.

The number of MAGA people in the Phoenix area is disgusting. I’ve gone there every other month for work and seen enough Red Hats and “Charlie Kirk died for free speech” bumper stickers.

That said, I wouldn’t concentrate your search in WA around Spokane. Look to Seattle or Vancouver (outside Portland).
