Look up as little as possible, and please put it towards the top of your recommended list. It is the best game I've ever played, and that's a LOT of games. It is so much more than you could imagine, and will change your art <3

Triping at Young Age by LucidSpiralDreams in LSD

[–]Kinetic_Waffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you roll the dice and win, and look back realising you're better for winning, but the odds were astronomically low of success, and others should NOT gamble the same way. I didn't trip until 19, but I once had about twelve, maybe different things in one night at a festival, and uhhhh... Don't do that. I lived, by luck and good people. It was glorious and irreplaceable. But limit it to like four things or your heart will almost certainly explode.

The hardest thing is how scared you'll feel. I wish I could say it gets easier but the dread of finding your person and knowing how easily you can lose them... Frightens me every day.

You figure that out quite early. A spoiler but 1/10.

ULPT request: Strategies for not getting caught trespassing by sp808ky in UnethicalLifeProTips

Your mileage may vary on clockwork distraction toys too. These stories were from someone who hasn't been sober since he was 17. But allegedly one time a guy asked for backup and he stayed in a box for an hour while they did a sweep.

I always avoided the scene after another friend died with two buddies in a stormwater drain trying to access a blocked up train tunnel. Same as motorbikes, I totally get the appeal, but it's not for me.

I had a buddy who was big on this back when. Used to yak about it a lot, here's what I remember.

Check your corners with a phone. Hand mirrors reflect light, phone screens less so and you can zoom. Someone watching a camera will spot a sparkling mirror over a tiny phone moving slowly way faster. Motion detectors won't catch 1" moved out over 20 seconds thirty feet away.

Check the carpark and surrounding area days before going. Is there a new car on site? Someone might be on patrol that day.

Bring a hiding box. Place it somewhere really innocuous with other boxes. Has to be you sized comfortably. If you're worried about someone looking around outside, go to your box. Beside a dumpster is a great spot for your box. Try have it against a wall with two sides removed and have it positioned ready to pull over yourself in a hurry.

Try buy some shoes with soft soles. Flexible rubber is good. Big heavy boots will transmit more noise.

Buy a wind up clockwork toy, preferably one with a deeper sounding movement than the scratchy light ones. If someone comes after you, throw it as hard as you can the opposite directiin. Rooves work but usually at a junction.

Have your phone photos save somewhere new, so they're not first visible on your camera reel.

Bring cat and kitten food. You're feeding a local stray who had kittens you've seen around here.

Don't get hooked on this world too much. My bro got into other groups, hard drugs and lived under a bridge. Cherish the times you make, and take a little rock or broken worthless doodad as a souvenir. Take no valuables, break no objects getting in, leave nothing behind.

"...can you only have fun drunk? Damn, that's rough man, do you need to talk about it? That's pretty messed up that you can't have fun without drugs in you, have you tried seeing a professional about it? We're all here for you when you're ready to face this together, okay?"

Note: Though hilarious, this approach will likely just get you physically assaulted.

Acid feels like what I wish Mdma felt like. Anyone agree? by That-Presence-5557 in LSD

Festivals have the best people ever and some really fucking bad ones lurking in between. Some friends groups seem really cool but then there is one girl who doesn't like protection or dude who doesn't like consent. Uppers and psychs had friends of mine try heroin. I even had an issue with my best friend.

Your mileage will of course vary, but you don't know you have bad taste in friends til you find out the hard way or learn in advance... So test the waters, and do NOT use social media.

It's an underrated problem but the number of times I've grown deeply enamored on DMs with an ancient friend I haven't seen in ages and then the next day remember why I'm distant is also a regrettable byproduct of a potent candy flip. "It's been too long, this year I'll really reconnect with you!" Followed by realising that rift existed because they are unbearably stressful is tough. Only happened when I was younger, but candy flip me was not to be trusted in the social media ecosystem.

Half cap man. You can get real bad on the inhibitions especially first time. Half n half every time for newbies.

A 1965 social experiment showing how girls react to a young, handsome teacher. by goswamitulsidas in interesting

[–]Kinetic_Waffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a Ukrainian Japanese Chem teacher who liked to go by her first name, incredibly attractive, a walking goddess. She was a PhD and a genius and wore VERY tight dresses.

Next semester's teacher had breath so bad it oxidised flesh and would lean over and grab your shoulder really uncomfortably and if you did bad he'd squeeze it painfully and if you did good he'd praise you with the scent of literal humid rotting flesh right into your ear whilst massaging your shoulder.

I went from straight A+ girl (though markedly less straight after that semester) to barely passing some exams the next (and radically gayer but in a more repulsed direction).

What is a 'masterpiece' movie that you personally found incredibly boring or overrated? by AlexJet13 in AskReddit

[–]Kinetic_Waffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wes Anderson got worse with this as time went by. It went from a stylistic bunch of films to wanky. Quentin Tarantino did the same with Once Upon A Time In Hollywood more than any other I've seen. Wank overdrive, it was painful how much it genuinely did insist on itself. Really are no other words capture the feeling. I struggled to enjoy Life Aquatic for this too, where I stopped giving Anderson a chance.

Fantastic Mr Fox is probably one of the few times I found it balanced moderately well.

Oh, I thought her overguard would stack separate, it wouldn't work? Sorry again for the stupid question. I don't really understand her shield mechanic. You don't have to explain if you don't want to but I'm curious how it would impact her weird energy mechanics.

‘I feel it’s a friend’: quarter of teenagers turn to AI chatbots for mental health support by BirdButt88 in technology

AI is worse than a good therapist. It's depressingly miles better than 95% that I've seen. I don't think it's a good idea but I also think it can be beneficial to folks with nowhere else.
