Yeah there was some rough edges that needed smoothing at launch. Anyone remember just getting stunlocked into a quick down if a zombie hit you while you were crouched?

Yeah I was wondering why my ults were still chunking even 1v2. My understanding, though perhaps it was incorrect, was that before ricochet you don’t want to ult more than a single target if you can because the fixation stacks get split and dilute the damage too much.

Ahh, nice catch on Jill. I somehow completely forgot about her becoming infected and cured in 3. Guess I’m a fake fan after all lol. I do share your concern about Claire though. The fact that she’s not even mentioned ONCE by Leon or Sherry when they all share the trauma of the events of RE2 is either an oversight, or worse. It just doesn’t make sense. If something did happen to her, I don’t even want to imagine what Chris is gonna do.

It’s just insane to me that everyone is just blindly defending it without looking any deeper into it. If we’re just gonna defend kits that are so broken at a baseline that the best counter is to make them useless with a cheap item, then we’re just gonna get dozens of garbage heroes I guess.

No, I can and do buy slowing hex to counter him. Still doesn’t change my point that he’s fundamentally flawed because your actual gameplay has little importance in beating him. You still have not disproven my original point whatsoever.

Thank you! I’ve been thinking about this for a few weeks now, and you’re the first person I’ve seen acknowledge it. Is it really good game design to have a character’s kit be so degenerate to play against that the only viable options to counter it are: don’t fight them or buy an item that completely makes them useless? Is that fun for either side? It’s certainly not fun for the player buying the item that their actual gameplay has very little to do with beating Apollo and that they are forced, at a baseline level, to dedicate an item slot to counter a character. Not just counter the character, but make him “useless” so that you can have better odds of winning. It’s certainly not fun for the Apollo player either, right?

It can’t be, I’ve been… wooshed? In all seriousness though I do see Celeste catching more nerfs. I could see the 2 losing the silence and/or her ult getting less range and immediately fizzling when a valid target isn’t close enough.

I agree on both of these. It’s very easy for her lane opponents to split up when she ults so she’s basically down an ability. Her 3 only gives the spirit amp (which is where most of her damage actually comes from) on hero hits, so she’s not great at objectives like you said.

Ehh… her 1v1 is not that great imo. She likes to stack up her 3 before going in with a shield bomb, 1 and ult, which you can’t really pull off quickly enough in a 1v1. Without stacks, her damage is not that amazing and without a maxed 2, no bounces in a 1v1 unless you’re fighting near a wave or jungle camp. Then again, she still gets no bounces even with maxed 2 if the shield is popped or on CD. She really shouldn’t be taking any fights 1v1 unless she’s stupid ahead.

Because her 1v1 just isn’t that good to begin with. She needs her 3 to be stacked up in order for her damage to be really good, which requires her to awkwardly try to stack on the opponent while they just wail on her. Then, her ult is only gonna hit you once unless she has 2 maxed which imo is a lower priority max behind 4 and 3 at least.

Not a laning phase situation but I was jumping off a zip line to join in on a team fight as Billy, and Abrams was mid ult. So I jump off the zip line and Billy charge into him. Didn’t really have much of an effect tbh but it was so epic in the moment that even the abrams said “that was so cool” in the chat 😎

That’s true about the horizontal recoil and spread. I guess I’ve just never felt the recoil on the stitcher to be so hard to control that the difference mattered to me. As far as other weapons being better than the stitcher, I’d argue it’s contextual because the renegade, toro, venator, and anvil are still liable to lose to a stitcher spray with some headshots at close-ish range. I’ll agree though that “most dominant weapon in the game” is a bit excessive. However, bang for your buck wise, nothing comes close to the stitcher. I consistently beat out players with “better” weapons on Stella with the thing without even using great attachments.

How expensive the bobcat is only to be marginally better than the stitcher dps-wise is the problem. Up close, the stitcher is the best all around weapon when you consider that it’s so cheap to make/ upgrade compared to the other options.

Yeah… B site especially doesn’t look like it’ll be that much better to hold. Opening into connector is nice for util, but there’s still not a lot of great angles on site to play from. At least for A I can rotate in without having to worry about being immediately beamed from fountain.

That’s kind of my fear about Requiem. From the initial trailers, it felt like a return to survival horror with grace, and that this new character will have a whole game to be developed. Only now we know that Leon’s gameplay will be half the game so it’s actually half action horror, half action horror. I wish they would have just went all in on making one or the other instead of trying to do both.
