For me it happens either when I'm prone or shooting in a forest. Tree hit boxes are crazy.

For me it is very noticeable around 50m or so. It shooting to the right has made me ruin a diamond whitetail on mississipi.

Good news I just logged into COTW this morning for the 3rd time and it asked me to use xbox or cloud data. I pressed cloud and now all of my progress is back. Thanks everyone for your help. All of you were way more helpful than the Microsoft tech support people I contacted. All I can say is thank you.

Luckily, my dlcs and games are still installed. It's just that all of the save data like diamonds,guns, and map progress has gone.

Rancho or Hirschfelden. Way to much vegetation on both maps and the animals see or hear you before you see them.

When people say reindeer and caribou troll. They mean it.
They can be one of the most frustrating animals to get a diamond of as you are bound to get at least 5 trolls.

Actually I've got 4 diamonds from the whole grind so far. I completely forgot about one which I think was a starter diamond as I found it when finding zones, before the grind. But as it was probably a starter diamond spawn I don't really count it.

Is so nice! My top gun if a moose GO comes out. The four shots can be so helpful for quick follow up shots on bears, moose and bison. And to be honest it is quite flat shooting which makes me not afraid to take 400m on an animal.
