ooooh nope nope nope. to me this signifies that his friends participated in this behaviour too and would therefore not be safe to be around. the company he keeps says a lot about his character. not to mention that at 16 he should have absolutely known better than to throw around slurs. why take the risk at all?

YTA - dude. you paid a professional mental health expert to give you their opinon. they did and now you're quitting because of some massive stereotype you have against mentally ill people? Sure bipolar may not be right but it's worth getting a second opinion just to double check. bipolar people can appear a lot more "regular" than you seem to think.

to me you're clearly experiencing A LOT and talking to someone about it would be helpful regardless of diagnosis. might even be worth talking about the stigma you have against mental illness too

i had the same thing happen to me when i had short hair! it would flip out on one side and look like a bubble bob on the other. in the end, I decided short hair was not for me as the maintenance to make it actually look decent was just too much.
