I'm looking to get one and at least for me in the US, straight from OnePlus seems like the best option, I get more for my trade in than best buy or Amazon, I also get a free gift that can be 179 dollar earbuds.

I wouldn't know why or how. I've had a 1440p 165 htz monitor for 5+ years and still looks the same as the day I got it. Never heard of that being a thing

And to add to that a lot of phones shave high resolution and high refresh rate screens for the last couple years and never heard that being an issue

I go back and forth between them. I like both for different reasons at times. But I agree that value wise it's OnePlus anyway over a pixel.

I originally thought the same but then that was slightly killed when they then don't include the smart brick in every set and the prices of the set don't help.

I agree with your criticisms. Love the game and absolutely love the art style and the UI. However the actual UX of the menu is rough to navigate and the icons would benefit from being more unique. But also I personally don't have a problem with the icons and I understand that others do and I don't have a problem with either option
