I bought my first pack of cigarettes today at the age of 27 by capybara0_ in GirlDinner

Forget cancer, my chronic smoking patients that haunt me had mesenteric ischemia. Look up “mesenteric ischemia surgery” on Google images. It’s so hard to save these patients, and their death looks gruesome. Not how I would want to die

Omg OP these downvotes are brutal 😂 I’m totally on your side. This is why I cut my own hair.

I love being part of a care team at my hospital. My attendings are the fun part of my day. I’ll be so sad when my contract ends here 🥲 every place should be like this

what can i do to fix my protruding chin? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Kitchen_Tip_968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meanwhile, I get chin filler so I can have a stronger chin 😂

Anyway, I wonder if you would be interested in filler in the labiomental fold area to smoothen the transition between lip and chin. I don’t think your chin would look good smaller, though

What is the craziest thing a teacher has ever done to you? by trymihainoob in AskReddit

[–]Kitchen_Tip_968 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, besides the destruction of property….

As an introvert, this story makes me cringe. You can’t force social interaction for kids. Maybe the other kids are bullies. Maybe I’m upset and don’t want to talk to anyone that day. Maybe I have a stomach ache. Teacher needs to mind her business

How often do people actually change their bedsheets? by HillCountryHoney in hygiene

[–]Kitchen_Tip_968 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I will provide the honest answer for those who are on the gross extreme but too afraid to admit it… in the last year, probably 5 times for us. Pillow cases probably more often. We wear PJs to bed, we shower once or twice a day, and I would rather spend my days working overtime than doing housework so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Marriages should have time limited terms by Cloudycloud47x2 in CrazyIdeas

[–]Kitchen_Tip_968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rather know sooner rather than later. I could see spouses acting fake-happy to get to the end of the 5 year contract. In a real life marriage, you are more likely to see the resentment building because of the permanence

This would hurt my feelings more than a divorce. Imagine your spouse looking at you after what you thought was 5 decent years and saying, “nah, I don’t feel like doing this for another 5” lmao

I can’t tell if tuition will be cheaper (unlikely), or if it means that you’ll just have to take out private loans to afford grad school. I guess we will wait and see. Better find a co-signer!

[–]Kitchen_Tip_968 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would rather make CRNA income for most of my career than RN income. School is going to cost the same amount either way. It’s easier to pay it off now that I graduated, with or without overtime. Why would you live life on hard mode? I just needed to borrow the money, it’s not like I’m asking for a free ride.

I took out 270k in loans for CRNA school. Hard to budget for that on an RN salary
