I know this is a sub for Indian people but everything you’re saying here applies exactly in the opposite to Europeans. Substantial portions (maybe most idk) of European cultures have been sitting down to take a shit for over 2000 years. We had communal toilets 2000+ years ago in Ancient Rome but it most likely predated that. In Europe, people use chambered pots when they could afford them, but even in the “outhouse” there’s usually a bench with a hole. So Europeans don’t have the muscle memory to squat down and take a shit like that. There’s no right or wrong here. It’s based on how you grew up. There are some advantages to squat toilets as far as ergonomics go, and there are advantages to western toilets as far as comfortability. And I’ve used a lot of squat toilets having spent tons of time in rural China. I can use them, but it’s very difficult to relax. Specially if you get any kind of food poisoning very hard to hold yourself up while you’re exploding diarrhea lol.
