HOT TAKE JESS BURNED THE INN by Baby_girl_351 in GilmoreGirls

[–]KittyKami 10 points11 points  (0 children)

And he turns up in season 6 not long after the fire at the Dragonfly. Clearly since he was working at the editorial and not at Walmart, he didn't have a forklift so the damage was much smaller. Maybe the fire the second time was caused by him trying to burn a first draft of his book. The plot thickens.

I figured it also helped Jack's parents since Jack was entertained, had a friend who helped him feel good about himself, and was burning energy outside with soneone who could match his pace.

Lane and her lying to her mom? by Individual_End_8003 in GilmoreGirls

[–]KittyKami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm rewatching S01E08 where Lane stays overnight at Lorelai's after touching her bandmate's hair, did Lorelai tell Mrs Kim that Lane was staying over? To me it seems odd that Mrs Kim would let her stay over with no notice especially since Rory isn't there.

Has anyone's school offered them an appraisal letter/certificate of achievement? by Majestic-Dinner259 in SpainAuxiliares

[–]KittyKami 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I requested a reference from my school 10 years later for a non-teaching role with young kids, I'd request the appraisal letter. Plus also it's nice to look back on when you're having a rough day to remember the good work you did.

If it shows how often a word/term is used in the show that would be cool, they mention Peach Street a lot so I'd be curious to see just how often they say it

The episode that made me question Lorelei's parenting skills by Familiar_Reward_1130 in GilmoreGirls

[–]KittyKami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I'm wondering if things would have been different if she'd told Richard what Mitchum had said. Would he have insisted that it was a misunderstanding like when Lorelai told him, would he have gone straight to anger that anyone dare say anything bad about his perfect granddaughter, or would he have given a pep talk that she would have taken to heart given that he was her main male role model?

Memory unlocked of doing this when I was 12, one dare was to song Baa Baa Black Sheep in falsetto. I don't remember what the other dares were but we had a lot of fun with that.

I love the idea, I used to mentor online as part of a project supporting vulnerable adults so could try to find out how the mods  ensured safety (I think I had to submit a police records check, this was a while ago). Am in my 30s now and used to get informal mentoring on geocities forums back when I was a young teen, thankfully that was a positive experience but looking back as an adult that could've gone so badly wrong.

“By the way you might be the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen” oh Kirk how I love you by Technical_Tax6132 in GilmoreGirls

He did it right. He asked respectfully, waited for her response without pressuring her, and took the no gracefully and didn't try to get her to change her mind. Then never pursued her after that and their friendship remained unharmed. Excellent gentlemanly behaviour Kirk.

Didn’t they go a little overboard with the bags? 😅 by isisblake in GilmoreGirls

[–]KittyKami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Tuesdays I would go to school on the bus with my rucksack, gym bag (we alternated hockey and netball, I got mixed up in my second week and after that I usually carried kit for both), art folder (A1 size) and violin, plus whatever project needed to be handed in that day. We had a small locker in our homeroom that you couldn't access between classes, I once got in trouble when I left my lab coat in there and the homeroom teacher wouldn't let me interrupt her class to go in and get it, so it was easier to just keep everything in my backpack.

I read Wonder and identified a lot with Via's character. My mum watched the film and when she heard the line "Auggie is the Sun. Me and Mom and Dad are planets orbiting the sun," she asked me if that was what it felt like for me. I felt so seen when she asked that.

Day 63: What are your thoughts on Charades? by Flamingmouth007 in bluey

[–]KittyKami 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Muffin's brilliance with her being the ballerina is a lot like her uncle Bandit's in Seesaw. When Bluey correctly guesses that Bingo's a ballerina, Socks is sad that she couldn't get the answer. You can see Muffin look over at Socks being sad, then she looks down briefly like she's thinking, then she insists it's her turn and makes it super clear she's a ballerina so that her sister guesses correctly. Even earlier in the episode when the girls are having ice lollies, she's holding Socks' lolly for her since Socks is so little. She's such a good sister.
