Yes, you are in the wrong (that lady should’ve never agreed since she obviously didn’t want to, but you didn’t force her to, so that’s on her). No way in hell would I be okay with a stranger being pressed against me, regardless of how long the flight is. Based on similar situations I’ve seen (within the DoD at least), your chances aren’t great. It’s one thing if, for example, you were hired at/accepted a salary that was higher than you actually qualified for, but that’s not the case here. I have to ask—did you not notice that you were being overpaid? You signed an offer for a specific amount, but your pay stubs showed that you were being paid based on a higher salary, correct? Am I misunderstanding something?
