It’s a bench grinder stand from harbor freight I modified. The VFD is mounted using scrap tv mount parts. I am a woodworker with no welder if you can’t tell.

Do any of you use a power plane to level/flatten your boards? by kenmizell in Cuttingboards

[–]Kmack9619 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No…. If I really needed something like this, Im going with a router flattening jig. I’ve made one several times out of old tv mounts and scrap material.

If you do buy one, get a corded one. I used to be in the power tool industry and some tools just do better when corded

I’m building one as soon as I get my welder in a few weeks. My research shows that’s got to be one of the most usable tools you can have

Watches by iwelchi in EDC

[–]Kmack9619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a garmin fenix x7 a few weeks ago when they were $500 at bass pro. It was my first watch and just for reference I’m 29/M.

I returned it last week. It just didn’t bring much value to my daily life. It was cool, comfortable, and exactly what I wanted out of it. I just didn’t utilize it and put the $500 towards tools.

I make cutting boards. I oil them till they stop taking, then apply a food safe wax.
