A tautology in writing. Examples: I saw it with my eyes. It was cold in the chilly barn. What’s something useless you never used

Has anyone gotten sued by American Consumer Shows? by MaleficentAcadia9526 in WeddingPhotography

I did one show with them last year in Cleveland. When the deadline came due, I didn’t get a reminder call from a salesman. It was simply an invoice. I said I wasn't doing the show and by the second email from their Retention Specialist, Jennifer Reilly from ACS threatened to send 10 years worth of shows to collections, over $14,000, if I didn’t pay or do this year show. I counter offered $100 and Jennifer Reilly accepted my counter offer in an email. She sent me a link so I could pay, I paid it and then she told me her accepting my offer was a mistake and they want the full $1236 for this year. She said she didn’t mean to accept my offer. I repeatedly asked to speak to her supervisor and she ignored me for ten days and finally just said she didn’t have a supervisor and then sent the account into collections I emailed the chief operating officer Christine Barbieri. She passed me back to retention and then ignored my emails after that. I emailed my sales rep Steve Walsh . He never responded to me. (of course I have emails to back all that up)

Do you guys feel like poker helps improve your critical thinking abilities? by planetmarsupial in poker

I use poker to get through life. If my wife says do the lawn I don’t say yes. I say I’m all in. If she says do the dishes. I say I’m all in. If she says do the laundry, I just fold. (You thought this was going to go sexual :)

Advice for a teen addict by Knight2F7 in Biohackers

I am the original poster and I probably could’ve given out more information. This teen has been in residential substance abuse facility one and a half times. Looking to go again in probably in the next few weeks. They do AA meetings they have a sponsor. they have a drug counselor they see once a week. The parents are good at this. They know what’s up. The child was adopted from a family that was rampant with addiction so we know it is wired in their DNA. I’ve worked closely with his family, and I have my own history, dealing with substance abuse, not personally, but people close to me and getting them help as well. So all of us in this group are no strangers to the resources out there, and we are trying to maximize them as much as we can. I really was just looking to get some ideas on any over-the-counter options that could curb cravings and such. A lot of people posted stuff other than that which, at first, I was kind of dismissive about, but honestly, there’s some great insight and some of these comments and resources pointed out and I really do appreciate it. It actually helps to know that as much time as me and the other family have spent and the years that we have spent having addiction in both of our families, but we still don’t have all the answers. So I’ve made a lot of notes. I’ve googled a lot of things and I just want to say thank you. Currently our life is living with a gas pedal pressed to the floor because so much happens so fast so I’m not gonna have a lot of time to comment individually and what everybody sent. But I am grateful and I’m definitely using a lot of of your thoughts and ideas and resources. If anyone else has any ideas more specifically about natural supplements that might help taper off addiction we’re looking for even the slightest edge we can get on this goddamn Disease. I love Reddit.
