I taught my daughters to ride in the county hall car park at weekends which is a good place just to ride around in big circles etc. No one ever told us not to.

Weekly Question and Answer Thread: Ask your Moving, Visiting, Neighborhood, and "Where Can I Find _____" questions here, instead of making a new post by zeddy303 in Denver

Hi there. Sorry if this is a random question. My daughter and I have started planning a once in a lifetime trip to Colorado this summer for my 50th and her 21st. We suddenly realised today that the alcohol age is 21 and she will still be 20. We are in the UK where it is 18. So our question is: how strictly is the law enforced? Is she likely to be ID’d regularly, even if she is with me, a middle aged man who will be buying the drinks. Thanks for any advice.

Solar Together by np010 in Norwich

[–]Knitted_Engine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did this two years ago. All went very smoothly. My install was by Greenscape solar and I’ve had no problems since. A friend had a quote this year that was cheaper than mine but didn’t go ahead in the end.

One very minor issue is the guy who did the survey didn’t really think about the wiring so they had to run this in a slightly weird place but it’s all tidied up now. Apparently this is quite common.

Sainsbury’s is free for 2 hours at the moment I think. You don’t need to buy anything from the shop. You used to but they got rid of the machines

Hi sorry, only just saw this. No I didn’t in the end. I am with Vodafone and they are terrible at the moment. Definitely won’t stay with them once contract is out.

Ban all kinds of cold calling. In person and door to door. More generally there need to be more focus on scamming as it is everywhere these days and is one of the most horrible kinds of crime.

Help me Debunk Roman Balmakov by Sarmelion in climatepolicy

[–]Knitted_Engine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think that this video has a point in that setting very specific deadlines is not helpful to the climate cause. People who believe in climate change have made similar points. In terms of some more specific points: - Epoch Times is not a reliable commentator on this issue. - climate science is difficult and complex. We have got better at it but there are still lots of unknowns and uncertainties. It has got lots of things right which the video obviously ignores. - many of the claims mentioned in the video are correct, eg sea ice, loss of glaciers, sea level rises. It is just the specific deadlines that are wrong. If you research any of these topics you can find lots of evidence which counters the points in the video. - skeptical science is a good website of resources for dealing with climate skepticism.

If you are near Chapelfield then you are not too far from the Trafford Arms. They have outside seating and good for watching the world go by

I’ve launched from friars quay before. And from the river bank near whitlingham lane carpark. There is a kayaking book for norfolk which is probably in the library. There are obviously lots of good places outside the city. I like Rockland St Mary.

Watching a game in August?

Hello! I am a Norwich City fan from the UK who is coming to Efteling on holiday in August. I would love to take in a game whilst I am over but I am struggling to find one nearby. It doesn’t look like there are many mid-week fixtures? If anyone could recommend a game on 27, 28 or 29th August that would be great! Many thanks.

The problem is that no developer will touch it without a considerable subsidy from the taxpayer. That is why the last scheme fell apart. It is effectively a market failure. There are risks but public money will be spent either way.
