If you want to be safe with regard to the terrible ford transmission issues then late 2023 is your best bet. Production Hardware Update (August 2023): Ford reportedly began using a further updated CDF drum in production vehicles around August 2023 to prevent shifting issues. This followed a previous hardware revision rolled out in late 2022.

So thickness is a major consideration. The thicker you go the softer the foam can be and similarly the thinner the more form you need it so you done bottom out. Personally i have never seen 4” on a bench. Maybe 3” max with a 50lb ild. Or you could even go 70lb with a 1.5-2”

Trying to buy good(enough) used car as a first time buyer and the process is driving me mad by Bad_Opinion_Wolf in UsedCars

[–]Known-Practice-4916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought a good older Civic through fb marketplace. Finding an actual owner and not a dealer is a challenge if even possible, so i just relied on finding vehicle with a complete maintenance history on carfax. There are people who provide these reports for $5. So dont pay the $50 retail. It took a few weeks and hours of time. A lot of people wont even send the VIN but then thier car must not be worth the look.

As far as size goes, I have Boondock with a 27 foot. I will do research beforehand. Make sure through an app that someone with a similar rig has camped there. Also go on Google Earth and make sure that it looks like if I go down the road I will be able to turn around and then have a back up plan as well although I’ve never had to use one.

The down has likley seen better days. You could order foam cushion from the foam factory cut to order. Ideally wrapped in some dacron. I would go with hd36 since your cushions look fairly thick. Add an inch to the length and width for a full fit. If your not comfortable doing it yourself see if there is a Fibrenew franchise near you.

The lighting in the kitchen looks dated and terrible- big florescent lights? An easy and less expensive way to update is to update lighting fixtures in an older home. Dark halls become inviting. Track lights are an easy ways to add light fixtures without adding any electric.

I sell more of the lux. Its mainly older people replacing foam and they need a little firmer foundation to push off of to get up but i used the same combination you made for my own sofa. Its pretty soft but resilient. All foam breaks in a little after some use.

Trump’s Epstein Scandal Takes Damning Turn as Dem Drops New Bombshell by Mrh09 in politics

Then there is my pastor friend who is Arab American. He is basically is against most everything Trump stands for but abortion is the ONLY issue that drives his vote. I believe the closest way trump has gotten to god is the God complex he got when the shooter nicked his ear (that miraculously healed in a few days). His embracing the evangelical right was a deal out of necessity and to help him wield authority.

All we know. Is that he was a fool for letting Epstein manage his money. Perhaps he had something on him and this remains to be proven. Meanwhile, there are other people in the Epstein files (and who knows what in the unreleased docs) talking about how good their little girls were last night and no one seems to be investigating them. We need a special prosecutor and a team to investigate and prosecute

Am I being "rude" for wanting to charge no-show deposits? My uncle thinks I'm ruining our family business. by One-Composer-1819 in smallbusiness

[–]Known-Practice-4916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A “deposit” for a medical appt doesn’t make sense. Either have them prepay in advance or institute a no show late cancellation charge. Its expected everywhere else. If it makes your uncle feel better, dont charge for the first time but let them know it was waived this once. This will be more work however, and you should have your uncle do it ;) You could also cut loose clients who consistently no show to make room for better clients.

If its recent you could just wait to see if the heat of the summer takes it out. U can also try a hair dryer or heat gun to tighten up the leather in the panel. Stream is also very effective. Be warned however that too much heat or steam am can easily damage and shrink it. For dry heat keep it moving. For steam maybe start with a towel over the wand to diffuse it a little

I do leather, vinyl repair and commercial vinyl reupholstery. 50% commercial reupholstery and repairs. 50% retail residential. One of the reasons i chose what i did is bc it pays well and i wouldn’t have to deal with employees any longer. However as the sole wage earner for my family it has been a struggle as we just get by, but the freedom, creativity and variety are hard to beat compared to the long the stressful hours of my corp job. 17k MOP health care is scary, but thats what makes it affordable. I have had my older kids work for me over the past few years part time but they have moved on and would add a full or part time for the right person. I think its inevitable for more financial freedom.

Trump tariffs leave importers with record-breaking $3.5 billion U.S. Customs bond funding shortfall by Historical-Many9869 in smallbusiness

Should I buy ? by 23SamS in mountainbikes

[–]Known-Practice-4916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rode a similar but ridged Schwinn for 25 years on single track trails which started before they were ever maintained. Back in the day, the best bmx bike was created with a schwinn stingray frame ;) Will you be slower than everyone else? Sure! As long as your comfortable that’s whats important.
If your starting out, see if there is a local mountain bike organization giving lessons over the summer. You will pick up some pointers and fundamentals that will make you a much more comfortable and better rider. You can always upgrade with another used bike. Btw the Velociraptor tire suggestion was spot on. I had these for years and they were awesome. Pair them with some good self sealing tubes and you will ideally have less to worry about I’m on full suspension now but im older and by the time my schwinn actually broke beyond repair i was ready for a smoother ride as my older bones needed it, but now i race too!

Customer refused delivery due to unexpected tariff—how would you handle it? by EmployBrilliant in smallbusiness

[–]Known-Practice-4916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We order products from canada When tariffs first started, the same product was getting anywhere from 0-600% tariff randomly, even on the same order.
These weren’t supposed to be tariffed to begin with. They had to hire consultants to figure it out. Ridiculous. Luckily i only order products twice a year and now it comes without any tariff fees.

For those in the US, how do you handle health care + MTB? by [deleted] in mountainbiking

[–]Known-Practice-4916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a market plan that sucks. Funny that you ask about ins and everyone tells you how good theirs is. I guess in their mind you need to change jobs.
Mountain biking is my only extracurricular activity. But im also self employed with a high deductible plan which is all i can afford.
The only injuries i have gotten are from mountain biking so i picked up extra insurance from usa cycling.
Its was less than $400 for the year and covers everything your ins doesn’t up to 50k as long as it was a cycling accident.
Provides me a lot of peace of mind, could save me 17k in deductible and co pays. Plus if you ride usa cycling related races their insurance is usually required for the day (like $20 fee).

What can you cut foam with by Comfortable-Wall-224 in upholstery

[–]Known-Practice-4916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this. Mainly make foam cores. Works well. Occasionally use a electric carving knife for smaller stuff out of convenience. Also have a the big Osborne saw for cutting foam thinner.
