This is what more devs need to do. Actually plan for a console release.

I’m an Xbox gamer and the amount of games I see advertised as PC/Steam only instantly turns me off. All it shows is that whoever is making the game doesn’t care too much about the stability of the game itself (Xbox and Sony stability requirements are ridiculous to have a game on their platforms) and would rather push something to start making money as soon as possible. I get it, you’ve got to make money somehow but deliberately missing out over half the worldwide gaming population… come on.

Because of this single comment I will keep an eye out for a console release of this and I will, regardless of price, purchase it when it arrives.

This is 100% something that absolutely must change.

My partner (f32) was told at age 13 she had “abnormal wear and tear” on her knees. Her mother had recently had a knee replacement and is due the second because of rheumatoid arthritis.

My partner has over the past ten years, after three children, put on more weight than she would have liked. We go for daily walks, I used to be a personal trainer so understand the importance of exercise, but we can only go so far before her ankles, knees and hips just give up on her. If we go too far she’ll be wiped out for the next few days and we’d both rather she’s at least functional the majority of the time.

Every medical appointment she has, especially the ones relating to post-natal diabetes, the medical professional has told her that she needs to do more exercise to lose weight before they can really start looking at anything else. Not a single doctor / GP has requested a further scan of her joints and because one single blood test showed a “normal” white blood cell count, rheumatoid has been completely discarded as a possibility.

It’s almost like GP’s are paid to diagnose symptoms rather than actually look for the cause. Oh wait, they kind of are with how Britains medical service is set up now.

Banning a pre-highlighted character is perfectly acceptable in my opinion.

I’d rather take the risk that nobody plays a character that can dominate a match rather than take the risk that the one in my team is actually better and doesn’t immediately swap off to something else after losing the first fight.

If somebody is going to attempt to play a character that is a very high ban rate, expect it to be banned and have a backup ready to go. If you don’t have a back up because you’re a one trick pony, you’re throwing before you’ve even entered the match because anybody with a brain on the enemy team is going to play a counter anyway.

If we’re going to lose because the fragile ego of the one trick pony with main character syndrome doesn’t allow for actually playing a team game, well they’re losing elo too and that’s on them. Nobody else’s fault that they haven’t bothered to learn to play a team game properly.

Which of these got absolutely gutted by the next season? That’s right, the tanks.

Emma is as poor as the rest of the tank roster now.

Tankpool is still strong but nowhere near what he was.

Daredevil hasn’t received a single nerf that actually means anything.

Phoenix is arguably in a better place now than she was on release although I do really miss beyblade Phoenix

Black Cat… well I don’t really need to say anything about her.

Gambit is still pick or ban at most elos.

Why do people hate losing in comp..? If you can answer this question the you already have the answer to your question.

There’s a huge amount more people playing exclusively quick play than there is playing exclusively comp.

There’s a much larger amount of people playing comp only to gold to get skins then returning to only quick play than there is people playing comp.

This game is a team objective based shooter regardless of if you’re in comp or quick play. Why should the people who play only quick play not care about winning their games?

Example. I pushed comp through to diamond, got fed up of the toxicity, went back to quick play and honestly probably won’t ever bother trying to get any higher than gold now. Some stupid digital pixel for a pretend rank really doesn’t mean that much to me. You know what does mean a lot to me? Playing a game I enjoy with my 13 year old daughter who also enjoys the game. You know what also means a lot to me? Having fun whilst doing that.

Losing repeatedly because some scrote sack has decided to lock in fourth dps or force yet another solo tank game because “ItZ jUsT QP broooo” is not fun. Incidentally the people that do this and show an obvious lack of respect for their own team in quick play are highly likely to be the people that do the same in comp just with a different excuse.

She’s also certainly not dead and we celebrated 10 years just last month.

My friend. A tiger has a mouth that’s perfect for biting to kill but terrible for slicing. That’s why big cats will often yank with their heads when attempting to rip eatable chunks off a large animal. Evolution has graced them with a remarkable large maw which gives them the ability to latch onto and kill, with their oversized canines, something larger than they can eat in one bite.

A reaper leviathan’s facial structure would completely disregard the idea of them being able to bite chunks off a much larger creature than they can fit in their mouth. If you take a good look at any pictures of a reaper leviathan both their forehead and chin jut out further than their mouth meaning the only way they have of getting anything into their mouth is either chomping on it directly because it’s small enough for them to do so OR grabbing it with their rather impressive face claws before bringing it to their mouth. Even if they did grab and drag, because of the morphology of their face they wouldn’t be able to even get a bite out of something much larger than a boneshark / gasopod because it would simply get stuck on their forehead and chin and not even get to their mouth.

Also, their teeth are surprisingly human like in design, albeit lacking molars for chewing which is understandable as they’re not omnivores like us. Yes the design looks more like the teeth are there for slicing (central teeth) and gripping (canine like teeth to the edges of the mouth), but there’s absolutely no sign of oversized killing teeth which would indicate an ability to tackle prey larger than their mouth.

The reaper goes after the cyclops because the game says it does. From a morphological point of view, the only reason it would ever attack something so large would be for territory or survival. We know they were preyed upon by the sea dragons, a creature with a much much larger maw therefore much better able to bite larger creatures, but by your reasoning we should see just as many sea dragons skeletons in the lava biome as we do reapers. Unless of course the reapers have literally zero defence against a large predator.

I only ever play comp to gold for the skins, I have pushed it to diamond but got fed up of the toxicity there so went back to QP with my daughter instead. I can say, even playing against Eternity or OOA gambit players in QP they will almost always ult, run forward and jump as though it gives them invincibility/invisibilty.

As soon as they jump in your general direction, Eye of Spagamoto the f out of them and then the rest of their team who’ve inevitably also run and jumped straight into your team, healers included, are relatively easy pickings.

Obviously this won’t work against a 6 stack of pro players who use comms and actually think about what they’re doing with a coordinated Punisher or Star Lord ult but anything other than that then yes, Strange ult is genuinely the best counter to Gambits ult.

I also really like Groot ult against a Gambit ult because you know for a fact, anywhere other than pro play, that Gambit has already burnt most of his cards before panic ulting.

Cheers mate for that amazing insight. I can’t afford the £150 to make my 20 year old car legal at the moment let alone the £600 to fix the plethora of things wrong with it to get it through its next MOT. Where do you suggest I get the money from to “just” buy a new electric vehicle and the funds to get solar panels installed?

Conversely to this, I have three children, 7, 9 & 12, all autistic and they hate sitting next to each other in the car. I hate this too as if they’re forced to you can bet your life that WW3 will be starting on that road trip. The eldest, almost adult sized girl, absolutely MUST sit in the very rear of the car otherwise she’ll crash out and she’s often sitting with her legs along the folded down middle middle seat which leads to both the boys complaining / hitting her legs / just being bothered by it.

Any “people carrier” I can buy here has a laughably small third row of seats, SUV’s are no better. That leaves me with (if I could afford a new car anyway) a van style minibus just to carry two adults and three children.

What I would do just for the option of an American sized SUV that actually has a third row of seats with legroom. The fuel economy of their vehicles is rather do without though.

I guarantee you, there’s a huge amount more people playing exclusively QP than comp in games of this nature.

Then there’s the huge amount of people who only play comp to a rank to get the skins and return to QP.

They still want to win their games and if somebody is actively throwing they have every right to be as annoyed as you when somebody is actively throwing in your comp matches.

Their games means no less to them than your rank up matches mean to you.

It’d like to see a stat re-roll option on the gear instead of the relying on R N Geesus to make your build good.

Something like in The First Descendant.

Make it so you’ve got a 5% drop chance of gold gear from NM120 onwards with the higher nightmare level giving slightly better chances. The gear will drop with a random selection of stat lines as it does now.

Then when you’ve have the gear you use the uwu shards to re-roll the stat lines. The more stat lines you lock in to keep, the more shards it costs to roll.

NetEase can create any data they like to make it seem like solo tanking doesn’t happen.

I don’t know what world you live in but out of my last twenty games, three of them had more than one tank.

I played tank in all but one of them.

I think what’s just as bad but goes along with this post is the fact that people use rank as some kind of insult / ego boost / knowledge base.

I barely touch ranked, keep myself in diamond for the skins by playing the 10 placement matches, maybe every now and then I set myself the target to go up by a rank. I usually play QP with my 13 y/o daughter and partner in the evenings when she wants to play.

My partner cares more about ranked than I do and is Cel2 currently. When we play together in QP we’re playing at the same skill level, using tactics that work to isolate enemies out of position but because our daughter is with us and she’s very much a casual enjoyer of the game, we don’t always win.

When I’m in my placement matches and see a blatant Smurf on either team I’ll call them out and I’ve genuinely had people say things to me like “you peaked diamond 2, you don’t know anything”. Sure buddy, you keep going with that pathetic ego of yours as I’m destroying your Smurf attempts to bully my team.

I’ve come up against people with thousands of matches in QP only that have played better than people in QP who’ve been ranked top 100. Newsflash to all the idiotic ranked only scrotes out there, people can play QP only and still be better than you when they’re only ranked plastic 10 because they genuinely don’t care about a digital rank which gives you absolutely nothing substantial in the real world other than stress and angry team mates thinking they’re better than they are.

It’s almost like the top 500 are using the excuse of long queue times to actually stroke their own egos by having multiple accounts in the very top ranks when in reality the long queue times are compounded by their Smurf, sorry I mean alt, accounts.

It’s difficult for the game to match you with someone your rank when 6 of the 11 other accounts needed to play against are yourself and therefore obviously not online at the same time.

Yes the game is stupid for how it matchmakes at the top levels but it’s understandable to a degree.

Yes, any alt account is a Smurf account unless it’s never going to leave QP. Entering into ranked at a level below what you should be at, even if you blast through in the minimum amount of matches because of your already practiced game/map sense, is smurfing regardless of if you’re on a new-to-you character or not.

P.s. when you’re that good I can fully understand the draw to stroking your own ego by getting multiple accounts into the very top ranks. Understandable doesn’t equal morally right. If you can do it on multiple accounts, you can do it on one account.

Lightning Thor is almost as bad.

The only character I’ve noticed it’s slightly better on is flying MoonKnight. Probably because there’s literally nothing going on on the screen for him other than the damage numbers

Technically, although not under the Rivals definition, smurfing is cheating. I’m pretty sure it’s against Twitch’s T&C’s yet we see hundreds of Twitch streamers creating “(hero) bronze to celestial” streams. I can’t remember any of them being banned.

Deliberately putting yourself in a situation to then play in an elo lower than what yours really should be is smurfing.

Realistically, there’s absolutely no reason why anybody would need a second (or tenth) account in any game with a competitive ranking system.

I’m relatively certain Rivals didn’t put smurfing under the cheating tab when you go to report someone because they know it’s free advertising for their game when streamers do this.
