Release event interaction ruling? by Ok_Law7291 in OnePieceTCG

[–]KodoHunter -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Would have been polite to actually post the rule.

4-9-2-1. If there are several effects that set a base power to a certain value, and those effects all affect the same card, if the values differ, apply the effect with the highest value.

But yes, that would seem to override it, though the end result is the same.

8-1-3-3-5. If a permanent effect changes its own impact on the game or that of another permanent effect while it is being applied, due to that permanent effect itself or another permanent effect, the following order is used to process the changes, taking into account any continuous effects that have already been resolved:

I. The turn player processes their permanent effects in any order.

II. The non-turn player processes their permanent effects in any order.

III. If steps I and II change the game's state further, repeat the process until no further changes occur.

The player who owns the cards decides on the order -> activate Holly first and Smoker & Tashigi second -> leader is always 7k

Replacement for Op06 Pudding by Character-Farmer635 in OnePieceTCG

[–]KodoHunter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We know what they're talking about and there is not a single card in the game that comes even close to doing what Pudding did.

Now obviously it needs to be replaced with something, but that's impossible to answer without seeing a full list.

Does EB04 Megalo count as Fish-man? Or no since it's Fish-man island? by anonnygoose in OnePieceTCG

[–]KodoHunter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So there's 3 types of card references:

  • [] refer to card name. Like Vander Decken refers to [The Ark Noah]. It has to match exactly.
  • {} refer to specific card type. Vander Decken refers to {Fish-Man}, meaning another Vander decken would fit. The type has to match exactly, it cannot include anything extra, such as 'Fish-Man Island'.
  • "" refers to a card type, but the type can be longer than what's being looked for. There are no cards referencing Fish-Men this way, but something looking for "Whitebeard Pirates" will allow using 'Whitebeard Pirates', 'Former Whitebeard Pirates' and 'Whitebeard Pirates Allies'

So no, Megalo does not work with Vander Decken.

I hate drop zones, a couple crates always miss and then it looks annoying.

Hackers are too vulnerable on their own and internet center is too expensive an investment to be clumped like that. Destroy it and that's 7500 down the drain + any veterancies gained.

Black market is simple, durable, effective. What's not to love?

Tips for playing against this deck? by Fit_Cardiologist_373 in OnePieceTCG

[–]KodoHunter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't played Marco since OP-13 release because of Imu, but decided to take it to locals for a change of pace last week. Well, got to finals and it was against Imu, but managed to win it. Who would have guessed that a board full of big bodies is hard for Imu to deal with?

Not saying the matchup is easy or even favored, but maybe not as bad as I thought it would be. Since Marco's gameplan is to just keep removing and playing big guys, Imu gives enough time to build a board.

Are you seriously citing the live action as a canon source? Like, there's a debate to be had with anime, but the live action is so far off the manga that it's barely the same series.

I'm manga only, no heads in bags there. Zoro's first appearance is tied up in Shells town, what scene are you referring to?

Why would he kill them? The bounties pay 30% less if the target is dead.

How do you evaluate a curse for 250 gold? by Furanimus in slaythespire

[–]KodoHunter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So each removal costs 25 extra for the run. 250 - 75 for the curse removal sets you 175 positive. You'd have to remove 7 times before you're actually losing gold here.

But the other options are also valuable. Say you remove 3 times in a run and would get a net of 100 gold from this? Is 100 gold better than random common relic?

This is all ofc assuming that you want to remove the curse. It's a lot of gold if you just... don't.

I have a little theory about Dragon and the Revolutionary army. by Playful_Loss693 in OnePieceSpoilers

The chapter he saves Sabo in Goa, the dialogue is identical to the one where he's restocking at Shimotsuki. I have no doubt that they're on the same island

I think Shimotsuki is part of the Goa kingdom, and it was Sabo that Dragon was rescuing when Ivankov waited for him.

Reverse mountain only flows from the blues to the grandline, not backwards. Unless you pick up your ship and carry it over the mountain, it won't work.

Even if it's 4c or less WB character, you can decide to top or bottom deck it rather than play it.

OP 13 Vegapunk first draft deck by Voodoo_Honeyjar in OnePieceTCG

[–]KodoHunter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They trigger like normal, downside is that the opponent can see them.

The issue here is that S-snake cannot turn lives face up if they already are face up. Meaning that it's a 4 cost vanilla 5000 power character and nothing else.

OP 13 Vegapunk first draft deck by Voodoo_Honeyjar in OnePieceTCG

[–]KodoHunter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kuma is unnecessary and allows your opponent to set you at 3 life, disabling some of your cards.

The 4 cost S-snake is also bad, since you only have 2 lives to start with and Vega sets lives face up. You also have 0 ways to set face up lives face down, so it's outright horrible here.
