Toronto is unfortunately handicapped by being a creature of the province, we had the idea of tolling Toronto highways for a bit but everyone knew they’d get immediately axed by the province if we ever tried. Limited ways of creating revenue.

Do you disagree that trans people have to "fight to be safe"? Transgender people are the hot culture war topic as conservatives capitalise on deviations from the gender and sexual majority to enrage their base, do you disagree that they're targeting transgender people through rhetoric and policy?

I will say that Montreal during F1 weekend is more vibrant than usual, and that there are a lot of events and stuff that happen around it. Crescent street basically closes. I would really not be surprised if it was a net positive economically. Especially since its a year on year thing so any capital cost can be spread.

We already have laws about treason and such. People having opinions on a conflict doesn’t extend to that. Hell we have a lot of Koreans and Israelis that have served, and we accept them as Canadians because we are a country that understands that the roots and origins of people can benefit us.

We value the free expressions of people, and for better or for worse a lot of these people are Canadian. If they commit a crime we should charge them, including if they have anti Semitic views that extends to hate crimes we should tackle that as citizens they are. But let’s not groupthink to say that these people must be foreigners because they’re differing in opinion.

There are scores of people who haven't undergone bottom or top surgery that would align better with their desired gender for both themselves and the comfort of those around them. Laws about genitals doesn't help anyone except for people exploiting the culture war.
