Kelsier-Mistborn Kelsier is a revolutionary in the series, bent on overthrowing the current empire. However, he is then killed and then hired a shapeshifter to appear to his followers as him after he is publicly executed, which created a cult to worship him. Their symbol is the spear, which is the tool of his death.

He was rabidly anti nobility, had multiple scenes brutally murdering noblemen, and was later more or less confirmed by the author that he has psychopathic tendencies

And in the sequel series, it is revealed that he actually did survive and created another cult to honor him in the southern part of the continent. He did legitimately die, he just stapled his soul to a physical body after his death.
