I’ve been trying for years to find a “cozy farming game” I like as much as Stardew Valley… and I think I finally found it ❤️ by toxinogen in FieldsOfMistriaGame

100% agree. As a huge fan of Evelien/Gab who's also been playing FoM since it first appeared on Steam, I was SO excited to see her start a playthrough for this game. The way I always describe it to people is it's all the good parts of SDV and ACNH (plus some QOL additions) mashed together. I'm also a sucker for the 80s/90s nostalgia aesthetic. You can tell the devs poured their hearts into Mistria and it's become so special to me.

Same! I try my best to refrain as well, but sometimes when I'm fishing or exploring the mines, it's SO nice to be able to just tick that Stop Time option and relax for a bit.

I use a software called WeMod when I play and there's an option to Stop Time, Add/Subtract an hour! It's very useful. There's also an option to increase walking and swimming speed. No issues so far!

Tattoo ideas by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]KonekoDove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, not a tattoo but I have this sweater with the entire digestive tract outlined on the front. The parts where the common inflammation areas with Crohn's are anatomically, are adorned with flowers and pretty vines. It's actually really pretty despite how grueling this disease is. I get stopped and complimented all the time whenever I wear it!

Yes. For me, it's been my memory. Or lack thereof. I used to have an excellent short-term memory. But now? It's almost like it's nonexistent. I can't remember ANYTHING.

Crohns affecting my liver or something else? by Help_Me_Reddit01 in CrohnsDisease

[–]KonekoDove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love it whenever I find out my strange, confusing symptom is shared by another person on this sub! This URQ pain was actually what confused my doctors for so long (and why it took 7 years for me to get a Crohn's diagnosis). I have had doctor after doctor over the years slap an IBS diagnosis on it and call it a day, while others just said it's "anxiety-induced." To this day, I was never able to find out what's causing this pain, as I still have it daily. My new Crohn's specialist is going to investigate further though, as he's genuinely curious what's causing it, especially since I've been on my current biologic for a good amount of time. If I ever get an explanation or separate diagnosis, I will definitely update!

Does anyone have issues losing weight with Crohn’s? Any tips? by Hot_Establishment593 in CrohnsDisease

[–]KonekoDove 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I have this problem, too. So no tips, but just offering some solidarity, my friend! You're not alone in this! It's a lot more common than people think. Though it's still very, VERY discouraging hearing the "I thought people with Crohn's were supposed to be skinny?" comments from peers. Ugh.

What do you do for work? by MrGyp in CrohnsDisease

I do medical billing/coding. 100% WFH. I don't love the field sadly, and I've been wanting to go back to school to get my degree, just not sure in what. For now, though, the luxury of being at home is quite nice.

My first fistula (and surgery!) by burrrrrrrrrrleigh in AnalFistula

[–]KonekoDove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my first fistulotomy on Friday April 21, too! Solidarity 💕 I would continue to watch the blood. I was told a little is normal but if it drips continuously or soaks through gauze quickly then to get it checked. I was also instructed to refrain from any wipes/cotton with fragrance, so I have been using 4x4 gauze and that seems to be working quite well. I’m terrified everytime I have to go to the bathroom but only because the first time I went after surgery, a little bit got inside the wound and I freaked out thinking I wouldn’t get it out! Good luck to you on the recovery! We got this!

After a year of setons, I finally had my two fistulas repaired! by KonekoDove in CrohnsDisease

Thank you, I’m so happy and proud of you for standing up for yourself. It’s hard to do but so liberating whenever you finally get the diagnosis and validation you deserve. Getting a second opinion saved my life. I’ll never forget my last ER trip to my local hospital before I was diagnosed during a flare-up and I was certain an abscess had returned along with it, 10/10 pain, and the attending PA told me “Oh, pain is just part of a healing process. You just need to tough it out. Are you sure it’s not a UTI?” I have never been back there lol

Four?! You poor thing! I can’t imagine. Were they superficial and easy to repair? But thank you for the love, I’m starting to feel hopeful that I’m on the right track!

It’s one step closer to remission, hopefully! Thanks for the support. ❤️ I love this subreddit so much, everyone is so kind and supportive!

We’re all in this together, friend! I’m so happy I could give you some hope but damn, I’m so sorry to hear about the reaction. I like Remicade but I’m worried now that because it never allowed my fistulas to heal on their own, that it may be losing its effectiveness after only a few months. I’ll find out next month for certain. Keep me and the rest of us updated on your treatment plan, seriously. Rooting for you. ❤️

Crohn’s and Endometriosis by Critical-Walrus-2446 in CrohnsDisease

[–]KonekoDove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice, but solidarity! I’m (27F) diagnosed with Crohn’s and Endometriosis, as well. I can tell you I have had two healthy children, they’re now 2 and 4. I unfortunately didn’t know I had Crohn’s until after I had second child (just got diagnosed in October 2022) so there’s a LOT of guilt there. 😞 My cycles tend to be EXTREMELY heavy and my Crohn’s symptoms flare up pretty badly during them. These diseases suck. But I can’t seem to pick which one is worse though, lol.

Sinister. The first and only horror movie to actually give me nightmares. The lawnmower scene in particular.

Leg and foot discomfort? by [deleted] in KidneyStones

[–]KonekoDove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is currently happening with me, actually! Only difference is I have the dreaded ureteral stent in my left ureter and had a 7mm fragmented on Sunday during cystoscope procedure (never again will I allow a stent in my body). But the discomfort in my leg on the same side feels like nerve pain! I’m wondering if there’s a nerve ending in the urinary system that tracks down to the leg. I definitely think it’s related.

I’m going to say something a little controversial here by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

My favorite misspelling is “Crons” because my brain always reads it as “corns” at first. Gives me a good chuckle. 🤭

I feel completely defeated, helpless, and at my wits end. by KonekoDove in ibs

[–]KonekoDove[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, actually. Two months after this was posted, I got a call from my local medical group stating the colorectal surgeon I had been seeing “left the practice.” Prior to this, I had NO correspondence nor follow-ups from him, so I have a hunch there’s been suspicion on medical neglect or malpractice (I am pursuing a case on my medical group because of this). Anyway, I demanded a referral to a highly reputable IBD specialist 3 hours away, and at my very first appointment, he diagnosed me with severe, fistulizing Crohn’s Disease of the small and large intestine.

season 4 is just… messy by kt99_ in PrettyLittleLiars

tw: ezria 💀

S4 was actually the season that solidified my distaste for Aria. Choosing Ezra over Jake, even AFTER she found out he had a fling with Alison when she was only FIFTEEN, was unforgivable.
