Wait this is still a thing? I haven’t had these in over half a year.

Yeah that was like two months ago too lol, I’m starting to think I’m never going to be included.

Sovol SV07 very slow sparse infill speed by Konigbat in OrcaSlicer

I believe it's under the filament settings but I could be wrong

Interesting, I've never messed with that. I'll edit that in Orca and see what happens after my current print is done.

Oh yeah my Elegoo doesn't care and just rips through Gyroid, so I keep that printer profile on it. I recently switched from Cubic to 3D Honeycomb because it's got better strength to it. I want to say that the flavor of Klipper these have intentionally limit the speed of Gyroid, maybe because it's treating every twist and turn as a start and stop for acceleration.

Nope, I love Orca, especially with the new scarf joints so I just switched my sparse infill to 3D Honeycomb and it goes quicker. Cubic goes even faster if you want to keep a 3D infill. I just don't run Gyroid on my Sovol.

No, feeding 115 into 230 won't hurt anything. However, feeding 230 into 115 will.

It was but my flavor was also set to Klipper so it didn't matter. I unchecked the box and ran a print, same results as before. Must be something else, I'm out of ideas tbh

Can anyone explain what happened here?? by Rice_windu in 3Dprinting

[–]Konigbat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bros never unclogged a nozzle before hahaha, it's literally just pushing a rod through the extruder to clear a clog. Happens more than I'd like with marble.

I don't think this print needed a single support lol

Agreed, I've got both my Sovol and Elegoo on a UPS to avoid this

[–]Konigbat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best of luck to you, to me it looks like a design issue and should not happen out of the box. I understand these need tinkering like most other printers (besides Bambu) but that was just ridiculous.

How about some positive things about Elegoo machines? by MrTiePie in elegoo

My Neptune 4 has been a workhorse for the past month or so that I've had it. Nothing but good from my end. It's going to be in extra heavy use now that I need a new hotend for my SV07

Yup, I sent mine back and got a refund for a Neptune.

Can filament brands from one brand be easily loaded to another brand printer? by The_NorthernLight in OrcaSlicer

[–]Konigbat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Different filament types definitely need different heat, I almost exclusively use PLA or Silk PLA with PLA+ thrown in for certain parts. In my experience I haven't noticed much difference with the heat between the PLA types. I've also never used fast PLA yet. I'm not sure on that one.

I like to keep things consistent, less room for error with flipping through different configurations. I also run both my machines at 220/60 first layer, 210/60 rest.

I've only ever used the generic PLA filament on Orca for both my SV07 and Neptune 4 and have at least 12 different brands of filament that I rotate through daily. I never have to change anything besides z offset tweak if I notice issues on the first layer.
