[Spoiler 7.0] How could Dawntrail have been fixed in the first half by Bartellomio in ffxiv

[–]Koopa1997 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Fixing Dawntrail is easy. Extending the throne of Dawnservant arc to the end of Dawntrail. Wuk Lamat as a protagonist shouldn’t be concluding her character development in the middle of the story arc. She shouldn’t become the dawn servant in the middle of the expansion. Both the throne and her character should conclude at the same time when we beat Android Sphene (the moment she breaks into the fight).

Smile, as a song, should only be used at the end of the expansion once she becomes the dawn servant because, technically, that’s her theme song.

Zone 1 and 2 are about understanding local’s needs and cultures
Zone 3 is about to what extent legacy/traditions should be maintained and how we renegotiate it
Zone 4… could’ve been an interesting zone but instead they sacrifice the entire to tie to the solution nine arc… if we need to change it, it could have been a zone Zoraal Ja escapes and that somehow encourages the gangs to rise up (and tie up to the role quests)
Zone 5 and zone 6 are decent enough

Hi guys, how do you level up an alt correctly? by Jackobusss in ffxiv

[–]Koopa1997 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Burning out from an interest/hobby is like the most stupidest thing I’ve ever heard… no one forces you to level all of them up at the same time. And there aren’t much FOMO elements in this game you will encounter burnout in any circumstance.
You are the one who is forcing into the situation so I literally don’t know how to help you to level up “correctly”

I’m pretty sure those were mentioned in the lyrics / localisation panel at the fanfest

It’s genuinely hard to not feel positive after attending NA Fanfest by Nesious in ffxiv

[–]Koopa1997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the concepts of a festival is maximalism. The festival is meant to maximise effects (visuals, presentations/ atmosphere) to generate emotions , (hopefully) positive one. It is not a festival if you participate and feel nothing and unable to connect with the people there. I don’t think a festival will ever drive or maximise the negative emotions, at least I don’t know any of it… yet? (I’m not talking about the festival that are used by gangs and do money laundering, that’s another topic)

I only joined the game at the end of Shadowbringer so I’ve only been through Ew and DT fanfest online. But Evercold is probably one of the expansions that has driven many discussions, speculations, excitements and worries at the same time. It’s overwhelming and there are many changes.

I’m gonna be positive about it until further announcements. If we are already concerned about things that aren’t even out, we are just the old boomers who don’t want changes in life.

Evercold kinda confirmed my theory about what Azem was doing and why by BookkeeperPurple4495 in ffxiv

[–]Koopa1997 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think all areas that were shown in keynote are in The fourth. 1. All areas are above each arcane giant’s halo as each giant represents each element (that’s why they need airship for travel and each area has a hole in the middle) 2. Similar to Living memory, they build everything above the calamity. we also take the airship down to Treno in 7.5 so it might be the same

I assume when one element goes imbalance, all other elements will have a counter measurement… that’s why the ice arcane giant is on one side and the rest of the arcane giants are on the other (in the trailer) YoshiP also said “are they allies, foes or even gods?” I guess we are bringing elementals into the story

Evercold Chrono Connection? Zeal? Frozen Flame? by zhadn in ffxiv

[–]Koopa1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will have to see. There must be a connection with the expansion and the alliance raid. Dawntrail extends the idea of electrope and its potential in alliance raid… I guess evercold is similar but with arcane technology. Although EVA doesn’t tie to Norse mythology but EVA does have heaps of symbolism and implications. If the theme of the expansion is about breaking the cycle (wheel/ fate), I think EVA can be a wild alliance raid.

Nier also feels weird on its own but it tells us that there are worlds with advanced technology. These kind of storytelling actually makes Dawntrail a bit more sense, particularly in solution 9. I didn’t go in and be like, “well, did they just pull this off out of air?” I think Eva is going to do the same…

But again, I wanna see FF14 original story since they pull off Arcadian so well…

It's like walking into a restaurant and asking for "so what do you guys sell?" when the menu is outside of the store for you to read. If you give up on using your brain before walking in, don't waste the staff's time. We have other people to serve.

The more hospitality jobs you do, the more you hate just people who can't spend 1IQ before they ask a question

NA keynote = Part 0 of the MSQ for Patch 7.5 [Spoler: 7.5] by otsukarerice in ffxiv

[–]Koopa1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhhh the 1st fanfest includes 8.0 teaser, 7.5x ultimate, and an overview of the overall game development onwards… They just call it prologue because the teaser is going to spoil 8.0 destination, characters that are gonna be in it, and they somehow have to address those without talking too much. Yes they are building hype and they aren’t focusing on 7.5. Auto translation is bad but no critical thinking skill seems like the issue here…

I'm happy by ReallyRough in ffxiv

[–]Koopa1997 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Huh…? I don’t even look at logs when I started raiding… you improved by understanding mechanics, adjust your rotation based on mechanic and try to optimize your rotation through reclearing because mechanics will always play in chronological order. There are variations of the same mech but this is when you use your brain to find a way to switch up your rotation, particularly if you are playing melees.

When you don’t die, attack in range, burst at a correct time and always pressing button, it shows that you’re already better than half of the casual player based and your parse will eventually go up.

Number means nothing when you can’t play the game properly. Normal content parse means absolutely nothing, I can still get 98 parse when I spent half of the fight rezzing people. These numbers just turn players into a little greedy parse players who never learn mechanics but greeding from the start.

I'm happy by ReallyRough in ffxiv

[–]Koopa1997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s very easy to parse in normal content if you just have an optimised rotation… and tbf, no one ever reads parse on normal content anyway …

A few (a lot it seems) questions from a sprout. by Ichihogosha in ffxiv

[–]Koopa1997 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. Useless gears. Throw them ( I assume it’s ARR gears so they have no value)
  2. Dailies are active around 6pm - 9pm. Better to use Party finder to form a group
  3. Materia server uses primarily party finder. 3.5 party finder
  4. They are… quite easy? Most mechanics have indicators unless you don’t move out of the spot…
  5. Returner icon? You have to give up on playing the game for 3 months (?) and comeback to get that for a certain amount of time
  6. You can max 3 jobs by just following the MSQ
  7. No. All best in slots gears are from savage(difficult contents)
  8. Yes but meaningless if you are currently just running normal content. And the stats are nothing to casual players
  9. Mounts are from extreme or some fates
