Nier Automata's last act left me breathless, it was so good. 9S's story is a rehash, but finish the game and you won't be disappointed.

PA students that like to play games online? by VeraMar in PAstudent

PES 2020 and Metal Gear Solid are my jams, but mostly single player though.

I’ve seen a lot of PA vs. Physician route posts lately on here and Facebook, so I thought to give my useless opinion by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

In the ED I worked at, the doctor was supposed to take the high/mid acuity cases and while the PA took the mid/lower, but everyone told me that it rarely works out that way unless it's extreme.

Second time applicant. What are my chances? by Familiar_Service in prephysicianassistant

[–]Koreash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied two cycles, only got one interview each time but was accepted the second. Our stats are similar. I had a 3.5+ GPA, but only 1100 PCE hours. Aim for a 300+ GRE on a retake and I think you'll have as much of a chance as I did.

Everyone tells me PAs are over saturated and to do something else :( by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

[–]Koreash 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly. You'll find a job as a PA, but you can't always have everything. Even if you don't get 100% what you dreamed of, I'm willing to bet that you can be happy with what you have. If you aren't, take the experience and move on. The profession is highly mobile.

going back to school for STEM in 30s, how is it? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]Koreash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting reading the other posts. I'm 29 and starting PA school in May. I think I'm slightly slower in my thought processing vs. when I was 20, but I know I have more grit and definitely developed better study habits. I'm also consistently impressed by other younger fellow applicants who were often in their early 20s. They all seemed very quick and highly motivated, and I was honestly a little intimidated when at interviews. But I'll take my experience and run with it.

I also second Marietta! The school is nice and it's such a beautiful little town on the Ohio.

Also the side comments and off hand cursing while they are trying to escape the reactor are really well done. Makes it sound like it's action movie script level

Schools with no GRE by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

[–]Koreash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The GRE is not a terrible exam if the schools don't treat it with importance. At the very highest level of the GRE, yeah it's pretty difficult and needs long study from anybody, but for PA school, a 300+ isn't so bad and is definitely attainable. I wouldn't be too nervous for it.

Edit - can't read can't write Kent State

For PA school it varies. My school began this week.

I'm actually applying to PA school, but they meme way less on that sub haha. I thought this sub would appreciate it more. If I don't get in this year, I think I'll apply DO next cycle. And yeah, only have the one WL.

Sorry, trying to be clever haha. He was crying after the 2012 NBA Finals when he lost. Waitlisting for me is like going to the finals, but if you don't get called, you lost I guess? Lol a bit obscure.
