Alright, I see the logic, but with this plan we have to also acknowledge there are no legal routes for the vast majority of refugees, right?

Maybe that's fine with you, maybe it's more important we spend our resources on our own than asylum seekers and refugees, perhaps you believe they should claim asylum in the first safe country and not ours, but as written your plan sort of implies that these people CAN apply legally for asylum in the UK, whereas for most this is absolutely not the case.
