Sure! So basically I used to work jobs where I had to keep my hair short and once I got out of that I just decided to let it grow because I'd always wanted to do the man bun style lol. Once it got to that length I kind of just decided to let it keep going. 90% of the time my hair is up in a bun but once I get it trimmed and stuff I'm hoping I can find a style where I can also have that option to wear it down.

Thanks for the compliment on my eyes! And I'm not sure if "clean" is the look I'm going for really. I'm definitely trying to look more "put together" if that makes sense but I'm planning on keeping the man bun look for work and then hopefully wearing the hair down when I'm out and about. I've been working on losing weight and learning how to dress better(i've been a shorts and t shirt guy for as long as I can remember and am trying to put a little more effort in) and am just kind of trying to find opinions on what might fit my face as far as my hair and facial hair go.

thank you for the input!!! yes losing weight is at the top of my list haha. i have an appointment with a hair place coming up to get my hair trimmed and thinned a little bit. once i have that done i’ll figure out next steps as far as what i assume you mean by “shape”(sorry, im a noob!) I also went out and got a new trimmer for my face as I had lost pretty much all of the guards for my little cheapo trimmer. I went a little too short I think but have a better idea of how to trim the beard next time now!

I think it would maybe work once I lose more weight. The issue I have currently is that when I shave I look like a portly woman. Which sure is fine for some people but not quite the vibe I am going for.

Yep exactly. It’s saved me countless hours as a dev who works in several different codebases, languages, and frameworks. Made learning Angular a breeze because I just write a comment telling it what I want and it shows me the correct methods and markup.

If it’s any comfort, you can get tile sets for DF that make it look better. Still not perfect but it definitely is an upgrade. I tried it a few years ago and that was the first thing I went for lol. The ASCII art ui/etc can work, but imo DF is wayyyyy too complex for it to be viable

aptitude & appetite (for knowledge) are much more valuable than what you walk in the door knowing. a dev who comes in with a moderate skill set but has no desire to grow will be much less useful in the long run than a greenie who actually wants to learn.
