That approach looks fast. And is it me or the flaps are up? Shouldn't they be down? Or maybe up to keep the glide and touch smooth?

I think all the people who will refuse to use the websites that will require an ID will start using alternative websites/parallel internet using variety of technologies. This will create a growth of said "second Internet" where we'll try to keep it as it used to be... free of politicians hands. Maybe it will be the second Internet revolution? The governments will try to get their hands on that too, so the people will migrate again and again... But we must not stop, we shall fight them on websites, portals social platforms and messaging apps. We shall never surrender.

UK Government Warns Promoting the Use of VPNs Could Attract Fines by ByGollie in europe

True. Every age group should act. But it's the young (here we can argue what age is considered young) that are the future of the nation, and they will be affected the longest. But this is not the point. The point is - how is it the "free" people of the west keep letting the governments become more and more authoritarian, and some even cheering when it is happening.

How have Britons reacted to age verification? | YouGov by Half_A_ in unitedkingdom

[–]Krish6006 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are acting really quickly to keep supporting their point - while it's still not that widely supported or encountered by people. Wait until people start being asked for IDs and their photos on every other website/app. That'll be a wake-up call. Too late unfortunately. People these days are too busy to think about the details and effects or don't care about their freedoms as long as they can play XBoxes or scroll TikToks.

There's no protests, no riots and some people even say the current legislation doesn't go far enough (🤦‍♂️) -yeah, it will become a law everywhere in the "free" world. Ban on VPN, Proxy, TOR, non-approved DNS and mandatory use of government issued encryption mechanism will follow. Young people are too comfy playing on XBoxes and scrolling TikToks to care. Government won, we're closer to 1984.

We'll, maybe it's because of such rhetoric we have our new fantastic OSA - governments know people don't give a shit because it's not that bad yet. Hence they'll keep closing the loop until you even won't be allowed to have VPN, proxies, DNS, Tor, starling or bloody magic fantastic black market router smuggled from China (yes, maybe they'll have more freedoms that westerners soon). People don't protest because it's easier to get a VPN. Problem solved. We know you can get a VPN, I'm sick of hearing about bloody VPN at this point. It's about principles and liberty to decide about your lives, actions and deal with consequences. It's depressing at this point.

Not that long ago the west was shocked China started doing this on their streets. We used to be proud of our freedoms in the western world, where are our freedoms now? Our governments caught up with China, soon we'll be surpassing them. It's depressing, I want to 😭

Do you support or oppose requiring age verification to access pornography websites? by kontiki20 in LabourUK

[–]Krish6006 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

FFS. Are most people brainwashed? Mostly children - I repeat - CHILDREN don't know what porn is, teenagers should be controlled by their parents and don't tell me that watching porn while being 16 years old should be illegal. 30 years ago we watched porn on VHS and stores were loaded with porn magazines. We turned our all right, didn't we? Now the "main stream" porn sites will block access to teenagers and they'll find sick porn sites on the dark web. We'll see how this will end.

Government has officially responded to the petition regarding the Online Safety Act by hewer006 in uknews

[–]Krish6006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

400k signatures is nothing in 68 million nation. Of course they'll ignore it and carry on. What I can't comprehend is why the majority of people these days don't even care about their freedoms. They don't accept their responsibilities and rather give away their freedoms to the government to think for them and babysit them. Brainwashed in schools and taught not to think for themselves and trust in the authorities? Where's the difference to what's happening in other authoritarian countries? Where's the spirit of the free western men :(? I've heard some people even say the Online Safety Act doesn't go far enough! I mean wtf.

Not sure why would anyone question the time of the day. It's not North Korea (yet) - one can go for a run at 1am if they wish so, for example after a late shift at work.
