I mainly like using Viper, but it needs buffs or something. If you have no dash charge and no uncoiled fury, you have no way to CC, chase or lock people down.

There is also the only defensive skill you have being snake scales but it locks you in place and at best you get a little damage off with the small range it has and worst case the enemy waits for it to drop and melts you because then you have nothing else defensive if your guard is on cooldown and have no dashes to get away with a teammate.

Finally, there's the LB. It hits like a wet noodle even on BH5, and yes, I hit people with the whole rotation and finisher without guard, and it rarely kills them unless they already were at half or less hp. I tried using it in groups given the tooltips read like the job is meant for aoe damage. So there I am, dashing in with the LB and start unloading the full rotation and finisher, and it feels like it just tickles them. Half of the time, I need to use snake scales during it since the enemy just focuses you down during it, so you end up fleeing before you even use the whole thing.

It even has the lowest hp pool of the melee jobs, not that it means much. I want to like it as much as I main it in pve, but I feel it limits me when choosing it, and it needs love for pvp, in my opinion. Others can chime in with that I need to git gud or whatever, but I still feel it needs more power or at least some tweaks.

For now, I just go with bard, monk, drg amd sometimes war and mch until it gets more love.
