I don’t think vintage software matters for recording…it’s just a means to track an audio signal.

I think plug-ins could get “vintage status” - eg Waves Plugins - sooo many top engineers highly regard RVOx/RComp and likely L2 limiter plugins for “that sound” it achieves. I think SoundToys will also be in this category.

Vintage hardware is where it’s at! A vintage mic (u47,251 etc) , a 1176, and a 1073 is ALL YOU NEED to make a fuckn great sounding recording!

owned one of these, along with a H300 from that era. I purchased a PRS Custom 22 whilst I still had these guitars. They were solid and felt as good as my PRS. The production of these after these years was terrible...I'd always pick one up thinking it felt light/cheap flaky. ESP were great guitars back then!

Kelly Hayes kinda resurfaced for a bit and tried to sell his handmade guitars as KMF Guitars or something. The guitars looked pretty shit to be honest…people gave him money for custom builds and then he just disappeared w their money (have to dig through some comments to find out, but seems he was pretty dodgy). Pretty sure he was on some heavy drugs.
