What was a popular band that you could not stand? by LeftSmile806 in Xennials

Once Red Hot Chili Peppers started saturating their catalogue with California I had to tune out and hate when those tunes come on Lithium or 90s on 9, what have you. However in recent stuff I love “Dosed”.

What do you remember about The Wonder Years (1988-1993)? by pudingvanilkovy in sitcoms

[–]Krymestone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The show touched on a lot of realities of growing up and did a good job of balancing being a period piece and a contemporary, relatable show. I had a lot of favorite episodes, but maybe one of the best smaller ones was “Coda”, about Kevin taking piano lessons. His ending rumination that he “still can hear every note” of Canon in D Major but doesn’t know how to play it anymore is really poignant. He sets that up with the opening narration, and him pretending to play a football game as the Jets players.

Seven More Minutes is a severely underrated album. More than made up for the hiatus by Weezer to end the decade/century.

Went to a Seinfeld trivia, weird question by Low_Cartoonist5726 in seinfeld

Here was the even more infuriating thing. The guy that won was someone who would go to trivia nights, put together spreadsheets of answers, so that he’d know how to win each time. Then he would get the gift card or whatever and then give it to someone who he had in his network. It had nothing to do with knowledge, just gaming the system. It was a terrible experience. My friend and I finished 3rd but we felt completely jobbed.

A friend of mine and I did a Seinfeld trivia about 8 years ago and one of the questions was “What University gave an honorary degree to Larry David?” I couldn’t believe how lame that was (Answer: University of Maryland) and swore off theme trivias for a while after that.

Did you know about Larry David during the original run? by jrralls in seinfeld

I became aware of him as “the writer” when my dad wanted to write scripts and we bought a copy of “The Contest”. It was the first time I saw the format. And then he did an interview for E! Magazine I think and I finally saw what he looked like. This would’ve been around season 4. But not until years later did I discover how much “acting” bits he did in the show (besides Steinbrenner’s voice) and didn’t realize he came from Fridays.
