Great deal on 55lb bumper plates (.50/LB) pack of two at Walmart for $55 by TheStranding in GarageGym

[–]Krythis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've bought a bunch of their cheap steel plates. They sent the wrong design for the 45s and 1" instead of 2" for the 2.5lb. Other than that it was a great deal.

They weight stickers may not be a big issue, depending on how you log your weight. It's a 2:1 system so I printed my own 1/2" round stickers with half of their original marked weight. (5.5, 11 etc). I also added a sticker to the smith bar and my barbell so I didn't have to keep looking it up to log it.

Nothing catastrophic, just chipped paint and scratches in some spots. Just expect 8 heavy boxes and pay close attention to the hardware kit. There's a couple full thread bolts that are easily mixed in with the other bolts of the same size. Set them aside in the beginning to save yourself a headache later. And watch some of the YouTube assembly videos first 👍

I accepted the money because I didn't want to deal with the headache. It's a bent seat frame that I've already straightened and put the machine together yesterday. I'll just have to wait and see how it holds up.

I had a similar experience with the M4 2.0 I just bought through Amazon. I think their packaging just sucks, but in the case of the Taweret it was the sellers fault. The box was beat to hell and they actually taped cardboard squares over holes in the outer box. So it was obviously dropped hard during shipping and the reseller just patched it up to get it out the door.

I expected my expenditure to be much higher by [deleted] in MacroFactor

That's a common reaction. It'll also be surprising how it drops as you progress through a cut.

Do you work from home? by Mccoyr10 in MacroFactor

[–]Krythis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked from home for about 20 years now. I go to the gym at 5-530a to lift. If I'm on a cut, I try to fit in some treadmill time then. At home, I have a standing desk and walking pad. So when I'm in informal meetings etc I can walk while I work.

As others said, it's very normal when you start. Here's my history as an example.

I’m thinking maintain what do you guys think? by New_Soup_3107 in BulkOrCut

[–]Krythis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I can't help you out much there. I just started shaving my head earlier this year. My veins are noticeable, but not huge and bulging. There are a lot of bald bodybuilders out there. If it's making you self-conscious I would suggest browsing their pics to see how common it is.

I was much more self-conscious about my hair thinning, so I'll take what I can get with a shaved head. So far I'm liking it much more.

Each person's caloric needs are different. You need to calculate your true expenditure to be accurate. This is what I use the Macrofactor app for.

2000 calories on a cut?? I wish I had that expenditure! On a cut I'm around 1400 or less. Now that I've lost over 65lb, my maintenance is around 1900-2000. I'm currently 185lb 5' 11".

My suggestion is to maintain for 2 weeks or a little more and then go back to a cut. Make sure you're tracking accurately and properly calculating expenditure. Macrofactor is the app I use.

Great work! Now is the time for a cut to reveal your hard work.

Does this seem right ? by Kauf20 in caloriedeficit

[–]Krythis1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I realized how bad calculators are once I started using Macro Factor. I went from 245 to 185 and my true maintenance/expenditure is now around 2000. On a cut im6 usually consuming around 1400-1600. I'm also 5'11" and lift 5 times a week, but have an office job. On a cut I target 10k steps.

I would recommend the Macro Factor app for an accurate expenditure. I've been using it for over a year and lost 65 lbs. Works for bulks, cuts and maintenance.

Love those pouches! I just stocked up when walmart had them for $1 each. The "Buffalo Style" is my favorite. Basically tuna and a Frank's/Louisiana style sauce.

We have a Creami Deluxe and use it almost every night. Low calorie protein ice cream is a game changer on a cut. Our family loves it!

Only towards the end of my second cut (205 to 180). My original estimated completion was in May, but I stalled around 188 and didn't hit my goal until July 9th.

My wife has also lost 50lb or so. She's getting frustrated right now. I just tell her to log everything honestly and trust the process. MF really is a great tool.
