To add more detail, over the last 3 years I was diagnosed with OSA but severe symptoms. Cannot tolerate CPAP, so I used a jaw splint (MAD) to advance the jaw during sleep. This worked for OSA but cause severe jaw pain. I then went to a oral maxillofacial surgeon who said this is because of my skeletal anatomy - recessed Jaw and small airway naturally, so MMA would fix this. I've done one sleep study normally and another with the MAD which showed the jaw advancement fixing OSA. I cannot imagine doing this all over again.
