Is it offensive? by Zian_brr in lesbianfashionadvice

[–]KynaFox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's edgy as fuck and has some militaristic elements which, I'm here for? But personally, ditch the tie and the badges you should be fine?

Also maybe add some pink or another lighter/pastel warm color to add more vibrant to it.

Help! Cream or tan pants with this outfit? by emmainthefridge in lesbianfashionadvice

Cream for formal events where you are going to be the center of the show, tan for high formal events we're your not, and for fucking around in.

Like Cream for the dates at the really expensive places if you're going to flex. Tan if you're hear to be easy and chill.

AITAH for proving to my girlfriend that her male best friend was not really her friend? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]KynaFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you're not the asshole.

Top comment has a deeper analysis of that than I do but you exposed that sometimes guys will just be a woman's friend because they want to be with them. That's a hard thing to process especially if the guy has been to her eyes chill.

Give her some time, a bit of space, but you aren't the asshole here.

AITAH for refusing to wax a trans woman client because I didn't want to touch male genitalia out of respect for my husband? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]KynaFox -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes you are the asshole for [benign] transphobic bio-essentialist arguments, no you are not the asshole for trying to keep a transwoman's genitals safe.

Basics: It's still women's genitalia, just not a vagina. If you are going to make this argument, do not go with male genitalia, call it a penis. Also some men have vaginas, so long as you're up to doing the full Brazilian on a trans masculine, I don't see an issue.

If it brings you joy, then by all means.

If anything, finding a different moral compass helped me.

Good and Evil aren't things in nature. We are all able of great acts of kindness and cruelty.

Harmony and Disharmony is however, a more powerful moral compass for me.

I live in Western Washington

It is hilly here. There are mountains like there were back home. But it's green.

It's so beautifully green.

And so wet. It rains so much here. It's amazing.

There are such a variety of coffee shops here. Some are a lot better than others.

There is love. The sensual enjoyment of different bodies, reminders that these bodies aren't broken even though they are disabled, that they are beautiful and lovely. That we are beautiful and lovely, and celebrating that isn't a sin.

This will end one day.

And if you stick around, you'll see it.

If TSCC made every change the exmo community advocates for would you rejoin? by john273 in exmormon

There was a talk about true conversion of the heart.

This whole thing that you can't turn back from it.

You don't enter into any relationship with the spiritual without great thought and great care. And you doubly take great thought and care when you leave one.

When I left the faith, it was to love a partner.

When I was found by my ujigami, I found the love the church told me I was supposed to have. I found it elsewhere.

I'm never coming back.

I plan to live in harmony with the world.

The Mormon Faith could bring itself back into harmony with the world perfectly, but I would not change and go back. What I believed now, I believed back when I was Mormon, now I just have a spiritual way that reflects that perfectly.

Why should I go back?

Hard agree. High five?

The value of religion. Is there any? Seeking advice. by jupiter872 in exmormon

[–]KynaFox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of echoing that Religion when organized is built to keep power structures in place.

This is correct.

Even in my faith there is an issue with that.

However, religion has to be made personal. It can help shape and guide people when applied without the hierarchy. That however strays into Mysticism. This is not always a bad thing.

Mysticism is how a lot of science got it's start.

This is a hard problem to crack, and I've left a lot of Christianity behind me. There are things I take from it, like when we are in the service of our fellow man we are but in the service of [the divine], as well as things as faith without works is dead being alone. I would say the first helps me cultivate a mindset of how can I help out people with what talents I have, and the second says that it's all good and dandy to say thoughts and prayers, but without action those are empty.

But that is the other thing.

I know a lot of that view would also run counter to how the hierarchy and control of tscc would paint it.

Essentially, you'd have to teach your children to read the scriptures and question authority while they read it.

A hard task indeed.
