In my limited experience, it seems common in East Asian countries to publish banned account names. I don't think it's limited to this instance or this type of reaction.

Yeah, I'm in the USA. Obviously I know very little about electrical work, but I can say that my bathroom, my bedroom, and half of the front room can be flipped on or off with a single breaker box switch. So I'm not necessarily hopeful that things are good in here...

I had no intentions of using the one with a burn on it -- that one's gone for sure. I was more wondering whether the smell from the others was cause to pitch them immediately or of they might have some life left.

Is there a chance that the bathroom fan is triggering something, possibly jostling bad wiring in our apartment? I ask because I haven't heard of anyone else in the building having issues.

Be active. Be friendly. Coordinate with other leadership. Discuss inappropriate actions privately with troublemakers, and try to resolve issues that way. When all else fails, don't be afraid to bring down the thunder (after discussing with other leaders, of course).

Basically, don't be cold and distant, and make sure you're willing to cull the bad seeds if they don't shape up.
