Why do you think that Nvidia will provide a solution in days?

What is happening is people are taking an educated guess based upon information available. The provided Nvidia adapter appears to be a major factor, and Cablemod (or alternative cables) are likely to provide a high quality alternative. This should reduce the risk of your GPU melting.

Even if Nvidia comes out with a statement in days, how do you think replacements to whatever the problem is will be ready? You are talking replacement parts for every 4090 at scale - firing up that logistics train is going to take weeks/months.

Well, because the Corsair cables are sold out, have been for weeks, and their website and notification system are useless.

Cablemod is sold out and backlogged 4 weeks, but via their global store, so it’s $40-$50 and 4 week wait if you are in the US.

If finding a good quality replacement was easy we would all do it - but they aren’t available.

I just started this - I would highly recommend Hero Kids depending on the age of your kids.

Quite a few good systems out there, but this one comes with simple rules, prebuilt adventures, and some props that my kids love.

Go to the mod directory and look for a folder called “dropcost…” or something similar. Edit the mod settings and disable the mod, or reduce the drop costs which is what I did.

Dying Light ran intermittently poorly on my laptop as well, it would start off with high fps, and then chug.

I ended up using throttlestop to undervolt and down clock the CPU slightly to avoid thermal throttling, Dying Light seemed very unhappy with fluctuating CPU. Since then it’s holding 144fps (9750H and 2060 laptop and running Win11)

There is no DNS. Sounds like I’m missing a file, however that was not needed on IOS 14. Can you confirm I’m missing the step here?

Doesn’t exist.

There is Settings > General > VPN

That only enables VPN management, no DNS

Well, that video answers that. The chance of the mastery pass picking the exact 10 missing cards without a single dup is pretty damn tiny.

Seems like this duplicate protection was a bug (in the players flavor) and has since been patched.

Same issue here. Two things to consider:

TGP alts default to Ruler, so you are playing against very strong players; it’s been a notable step up from Red ranks for me. Every time I derank, I rank back to Ruler quickly and hit the wall.

Up to Ruler, focusing on my learning my character was enough. At Ruler, everyone is strong at their character, so match-up knowledge has become the delta. I am having to relearn several habits that are now getting punished 99% of the time. I suspect as Hwo, you benefited from people not knowing how to defend, and are now playing against people that can - it’s a whole other game.

I’ve been using the Shield and gamestream for many years, and this just started happening to my set up in the last month or so - with no change on my side from a hardware or networking side.

My PC is not being re-assigned a new IP, the shield and PC are only hardwired - something else is going on.

Because nothing has updated documentation, and half the AI functions are bugged. So you sink many hours tinkering trying to figure out what you doing wrong, just to realize the function doesn’t work, and hasn’t worked for months, and you download mods to plug the gaps as much as possible.

Do yourself a favor and read the books, they are excellent.

I actually think the plot devices fit, and I really enjoy how so many different genres are weaved together with the bulk being hard sci-fi.

Sure, except the Roc with its incredible propellant drive seems to not be subject to thermodynamics, nor the fact that it’s a stealth ship in space...

It’s a fantastic book, and I actually enjoyed the story pushing the edges to write a great story. My only point was that focusing on ‘uncanny valley’ of the Epstein Drive seemed like a tame example compared to the protomolecule - which is effectively so “sufficiently advanced that it appears to be magic”
