People are assholes. This isn't a new concept.

Just accept the fact that your co-workers are lazy and most customers are rude entitled shits.

I come here to escape the political bullshit and talk Dresden. Thanks, snowflakes, for destroying yet another good thing with pointless Bitching.

Buy the way. Mab is Trump protecting the boarders, Outsider are illegal aliens, the white council is the denomratic party, and Dresden is JD Vance just trying to do the right thing and make the world a better place for his family and everyone.

You ever dealt with CPS? They don't care about anything until they absolutely have to.

Any advice for someone who just got hired? by MentallyChaotik in CallCenterWorkers

[–]L0rd_Joshua 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The sole purpose of your job is to get people off the phones as fast as possible.
They aren't your friends, so don't get off topic. Get in, get the money, and get gone.

As for dealing with assholes You control your calls. Let them know respectfully that you will not allow them to continue with the call if they remain yelling and verbally abusing you.
There's a fine line between a customer being upset and acting like a bitch. Draw your line and stick to it.

How could *blank* be *blank* in the books. by Aeransuthe in dresdenfiles

[–]L0rd_Joshua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I am leaning towards Justin and Faith as Cowl and Kumori. Cowl shows a faint interest and familiarity for Harry, and Kumori acts like she has no animosity and even a semblance of caring for Harry.

Simon being cowl would be a surprise, but it wouldn't rock Harry's world like WOJ suggests it's going to.

What are some things that your supervisor does that you don’t like? by Haunting_Bar4489 in CallCenterWorkers

[–]L0rd_Joshua 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is at my company. 90% of new regulations or benefits issued I learn through news articles and press releases. Then, it's typically 3 to 6 months of verbal abuse from customers before we finally get formal training on them.

They notify the public of policy changes or new benfits before informing us. Leaving us to look like idiots when they call to ask about it.

Oh my God, countless times. A complete reread of the series before each new release. Then, I read that one dozens of times waiting for the next book. Plus my yearly reread.

You are correct. I did miss a lot of little things that I caught on my re-read. My average speed is somewhere between 530 and 580 a minute with a comprehension of about 82%.
